Not a bad sim, for training purposes ..... but no substitute for the real thing. JFTR I have probably made several thousand real landings at this airport going back to 1965

The way to do it inside the plane for live air traffic go to the armrest control there should be a channel 9 on the plane that's how you are able to do it the newer ones go to inflight entertainment then click on from the cockpit

Sweet 🙂 Got to love the DC-9 series aircraft continuous dial a flap setting. I got my pilot license at 17 years old which was a long time ago and still marvel at flight. It's a special thing we all can enjoy. Sometimes I wonder what the Wright Brothers would think if they could see how far we have come along.

If you walk away, it's a good landing. If the airplane is reusable, it's a GREAT landing!

That's Not a hard landing.... A hard landing is when half the face masks drop out of the ceiling. Been there......

I completely forgot that People Express still flew into PHF around this time. I miss the old PHF from the 90-00s when I was young.

I had this happen to me twice and luckily they both happened, different flights of course, after takeoff and on approach. I personally didn't feel the need to declare an emergency for both times.

People Express had 737-100s and 737-200s, no 737-400s . They first flew in April 1981. Jet Blue did not exist in 1981...

the ideology behind this is simply climb to 1,500 ft under full power, now cut power to almost stall speed so as not to bother the rich people with jet noise below. Once over ocean, resume normal power!
