In this message by you "setting the carb like this is a good basis for a testride where u can fein adjust the setup, no worries nothing will happen." Tuning vespa on mainstand and without air filter and get decent setting. After test ride with air filter fixed, and when rev appears to be on lean side when bike stationary. We can tune it again to the richer side correct?

Hello sir. Wanna ask im currently stick with 23/67 gear with vmc 10 molle clutch. Pwk33 keihin, with rd350 reed , right handed exhaust from sip. 60mm stroke, malossi 187 aluminum cylinder. And i wanna make mine PX rev higher, cuz i ported my exhaust port to 190. It's now 190/130 exhaust n trasnfer duration. But i got hard time hitting 8000rpm at 4th gear. Do you recommend i change to 22 teeth to make my bike lighter? Theoretically it would rev higher @ every gear including 4th right? Thx Ps: the most rpm i hit @ 4th gear is around 7600rpm, gps hits 80mph, i heard if i can rev higher @ 4th gear i can get more top speed can i? Thx again

Hallo Sir, i have many confusion about my SI carb. I’ve changed my old carb with the new one because i’ve broke the fuel chamber thread. After the new carb installed, the engine will instanly die if i lean the bike to the left. Even if it just slightly lean, just like waiting for the traffic light. Any advice sir?

Hi. I have same symptoms. Just a big standard px125 with sip road exhaust. Jetting completely standard apart from main jet is 105. Would reducing main jet help issue? Bike comes back to idle ok at the minute.

Should the hole under the choke plunger be a through hole? I’m assuming when you operate the choke, fuel comes in from the bowl ,up through the choke jet and into the bypass and once the engine is running, you close the choke which therefore cuts the fuel supply? Now, I have a few carburettors, that when I shine a light down the choke mechanism chamber, I can’t see it in the choke jet chamber, and I have some where I can see the light pass through, hence my question . Thanks

Hi and thanks for your Informative videos 😊 One question: I could need some advice regarding adjusting the crankshaft to the center after putting the engine together ? Are there any known tolerances to this ? My crankshaft is sitting 1mm closer to the flywheel side. Do I have to pull the crank to adjust for the 1mm ? My engine is a 1964 VNB5 Thanks in advance 🙏🏻

is it running? are cheeks striping? i am not so advanced with the old sprint engines. never liked it. i would try ensure sitting in the middle to have same tolerance on both sides

on original like engines samesame. no advantage. same performance. same fuel efficiency. keep.rotary as long as possible. and reg tuning. si and reedvalve are not good friends. works okish but cropped compromise si carb cant really handle reed.

Hi FMP, I recently wrote to the manufacturer and they replied that SAE 40 mineral should be used. in any case they replied that they also obtained good results with specific GL4 oils. I use an 80W90 GL4/GL5 mineral and I'm fine with it. I can send u the reply if u want.

Maybe this is way off topic, but for aftermarket brake drum, especially for 1964 vespa vbb, which one do you recommend to really get good braking, BGM, SIP, Pinasco, or others. And which brake shoes for the brake drum do you recommend the most? Because to get the original brake drum in Indonesia is very difficult and very rare original drum condition (New Old Stock) thank you.

no change of mixture is needed, as vespa world travellers tell, just carb setting to be adjusted.

I bought set bitubo shocks and they ride soft and very nice. My spine is happy as well. I had yss. They nice but bitubo next lever. I had massive stability problem. All fixed now.

We run everything with the cheapest sae 30, but change quiet often. No Problem with VMC BGM CR80 and original. But we also peakt at 25hp/wheel

I use Motul transoil 10w30 with the VMC ergal and works perfect. The manual talks about 10w40, but with the Motul 10w30 i never have problems

I see that you are surgeon for vespas so i'm writing you this comment, i just put a 118 mainjet on my vespa because the last owner put a 100 mainjet on a dellorto si24/24e carb on vespa px200 which is definetly not original so i ordered the new one. i'm not a mechanic but i learn really quick so how do i start her up. i got her to start and she ran great (but i didn't set the carb properly), same day but in the evening i started her and she ran and she just died, i thought that the idle screw is set too low so i screw it in, she started and she ran for a little while and then died. after that i cant start her. i put the air mixture screw 1.5 from fully screwed, i also changed the cdi which i did a good job. now after i start her up she dies because she chokes, then i add gas and she dies but she dies even if i dont give gas so what do i do?

Hi. I'm on quattrini m1x 172 kit with malossi vespower exhaust. Running on 26/26 standard spaco carb with 150/BE3/160. Still find the fuel supply is not enough. My spark plug tip now is in white, i afraid of any overheating incident might happen to my piston head.😖 Any advice sir?
