3 teenage sisters from mexico, killing Metalica song / cover with mature men, in my opinion the Warning version was clearer and may be even be bettee than Metalics's. The Waring played this after a 22 set at Whiskey A GoGo and was requested by the Whiskey's Manager as it was one his favouite songs. PS Ale I think was 13 here but at oldest of 14 seeing the bass she was usin, and Ale needed medical assistance after this ended as she was exhausted.

Not down grading, but they were children and jam very well, I hear their harmonies and testing their lyrics, so I can see your view because they're phenomenal, even in their early days. But each album have tremendous songs. I've been enjoying their newest album and every song can be number one, by my top 5 from Keep Me Fed are: Automatic Sun, Hell You Call A Dream, Sharks, Apologize and Consume.

Dude, your good, but you butchered this song because you didn´t play downstrokes. Did not sound good. f you try it again using downstrokes, you will understand the song better.

HAM. Hey bro you know what it is that’s makes this version better?!? It’s the extra sauce TW puts on it!! The girls are tired, they’re sweating, this is the last song of 2 hr set and I know you’ve played gigs like that. You know small venues where you’re just hammering away and then the owner of whiskey a go go asks them to play one of his fav Metallica songs…and it’s like holy crap I’m outta gas man and I’m running on fumes but they crush it and atlas rise is a beast to play at the end of a long set. And actually the Ale hits the floor with her bass from exhaustion. Dude gave a time stamp and you can hear it but I forgot where it’s slight but you can hear the extra hit that’s not Pau…it’s Ale!! They just pulled it out and it’s got flavor when you see them exhausted….it killer. Reminds of the super old Metallica video’s playing whiskey and James looks exhausted and sweating his ass off but they’re in the woodshed!!

5:50 Poor 14 year old Ale is nearly out of gas after playing nearly 2 hours nonstop, but powers through to the end like a pro. I personally agree with you about You Oughta Know being a better cover (to my taste also), but this was also an impressive cover at their age, and I also like it better than Metallica’s version. 😎👍

You have to take into account the difference in their ages. The Warning are still improving as musicians and vocalists (crazy to think!!) so their cover of "You Oughta Know" is featuring them as an improved band. That's not to say they were bad back then! (And btw --> "Ham! 🤣)

If you want to see more of Dany shredding, you should check out her guest appearance with Halestorm on the song Familiar Taste of Poison. There's only fan cam footage of it. The video on Dan Hebert's channel is probably the best of it I've seen.

It’s rather different technically from their own stuff, and they certainly played this to keep exploring and improving. These ladies are driven! Keep me fed is out only a few months, but I am already curious to see what comes next. They listen to so much different stuff that you feel they could go anywhere.

That’s their choice, in my view. They’re an inspiration to many young girls (and boys), and the f bomb isn’t strictly necessary. It certainly was for Alanis, but different context, different times.

I think people don’t grasp how difficult that style of bass playing is… every note is staccato, muted with left hand technique… all over the neck, finger style, doing much more on her bass than either of her sisters on their instruments

That's what I kind of felt too a little. Everyone was doing amazing, but the bassline she was playing REALLY jumped out at me above everything else. She was incorporating so many different styles into it and did such a great job!!!

It’s such a great choice to play this song as it highlights all their strengths: Dany vocals and exceptional guitar playing, Ale laying the foundation and nailing that funky bass part, and Pau seemlessly switching from brushes to sticks and back and forth. Absolutely brilliant.

@@CrazyAwesome Atlas Rise at the Whisky that they played as the encore after about 2 hours of their originals. Ale was about out of gas but did it very well as the pro she was even back then. Regardless, this is a much better recording and shows off their continued growth. They are already well above most bands but are still getting better. They are in my top bands along with Nightwish and Sabaton.
