"heat rises" basically does not matter in any case, unless its going for something more passive/fanless.

Back few years when people heard "liquid cooled systems" it was a proper watercooling loop that required money, knowledge and passion to build. Now "liquid cooled system" is an AIO to cool only your CPU and nothing else.

BTW don't be fooled the Hyperion is far bigger and heavy than you think I guess Matt is a tall dude so it makes it look smaller ya need something everyone knows the size of for reference it's like almost 26 Inches tall and 25 inches from front to back you could fit a 360mm GPU inside, a ROG STRIX 4090 OC Edition is 357.6mm that's like *getting tape measure*... 360 is exactly 14.3 inches long that's almost as long as my cooler master Devastator 3 gaming keyboard which is no lightweight! even the gpu's like theres no typical reference point maybe put an Xbox or PS5 controller next to the gpu make it a 360 Idk many people who dk the size of a 360 controller it would be a great reference for sheer size of the case and even the gpu cause I don't know the size of you irl matt irl! people arent a good reference point of size for these top end gpu's and cases it's a strong case of "I knew it would be big but not this big" for references my ROG 4070Ti OC Edition is around 13 inches but cause they use metric of millimetres my brain can't visually quantify that without a measuring tape and even when I did I still was shocked when it actually arrived the same was with the case l realised early on that i'd have to move my 3rd monitor just to be able to fit the case on the table and it's one of those large L shaped art and craft tables (it's lent from my mother) and well it's a good job it's designed the way it is or it wouldn't hold the weight the Hyperion is built to withstand up to 80KG I am around 11 stone or 70KG this frame could support my weight in components but out the box it it's already 20.8 Kg (it's 21.3 Kg for the GR701 BTF Edition)it took both me and my stepdad to lift it up onto the table (i'm a lanky dude and he's in his 60's so it's not something that would of been smart to lift on our own) I sit the Case on the part that juts out at the side of me on the peninsula of the L of the table so that not only is it high up and away from the dust but it's plenty airated allmost as a centerfold or display of my room it's my largest pride above anything else I have since I can't afford a car or anything my UFO of a pc case will do! Oh and as for functionality it works it's cooling is top notch the 3 fans at the front that came with have kept my cpu and gpu in the 50's and below even on intensive games unoptimized alpha games like star citizen at 4k run at most 59C i've never had to worry about it going over the fact i'm using an artic 32 esports duo fan cooler and the fact that rog gpu coolers are so efficient probably contributes, sadly some of the case functions I don't have yet like hooking it up to the armoury crate to aura sync it as the connection won't go on the a520m-k motherboard pins due to design difference and unfortunately even if I got a top end AM5 gen 1 motherboard it wouldn't support both the 2x 20GB/s USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports which probably wont happen till gen 2 am5's for AMD intel already has one board that does support 2 20GB/s data speed ports ROG STRIX Z790-E GAMING WIFI sadly it only supports 1 for the front port and 1 for the IO panel at the back there is an MSI motherboard that uses Thunderbolt 4 brings USB-C at true 40 Gb/s speeds, which is MSI's MEG Z790 GODLIKE but again theres 3 of them at the back witch leads me to assume again that the front port will only have one supported! SO I warn you this case is an investment into the future of gaming with externals so don't expect full functionality of it's ports yet that being said this system is almost future proof to a degree though learning the size of the 4090 OC Edition I worry any rog strix variants of the nvidea 5000 series in future may exceed that 14.2 inch GPU length limit of the case so also keep that in mind although with diminishing returns on gpu performance in game to price inflation per gen and the fact that driver service longevity is going up I suppose if you don't need to go beyond a 40 series any time soon I reckon if I upgrade to a 4090 OC Edition in the future this case could last me a good amount of years it has the sturdiness to support your build for the next decade if you've already maxed out your hardware to current tippity top end standards! I do content creation of gaming on another channel so these investments were worth while knowing I would get a return plus having a 40 series even if it's not the best one has given me AV1 encoding access and that's gonna be a big deal playing into the future of content creation or heck even the present as my viewers will be able to watch higher quality vids at a lower bitrate without it taxing their cpu as long as they've got a AV1 decoding supported gpu which is everywhere these days!

I got one of these at a discounted price I used Honey to monitor the amazon prices for 2 months after noticing i'd missed a day where the price had dropped to £329.99 sadly I didn't get that price again but there was another price drop about a month later and i'd been saving I had to loan about £50 from my stepdad which I paid back over the next couple weeks but I was proud of the price I got it a neat £359.99 for reference at the time the full price was anywhere between £450 to £500 some even going over that so the fact I got it at that price meant i'd saved a bare minimum of £89.99 or even 150 compared to the £500 some buyers were paying which was ridiculous to me what's more at the price I got it ROG Helios had gone up to £329.99 at the time... so I only payed £30 more to get the new ROG Hyperion model I was even able to throw in a ROG Hercul-X for good measure it supports my ROG Strix 4070Ti OC Edition well though I've had to use some folded paper for the moment as atm I don't have a new motherboard as a micr-atx is shorter (asus a520m-k prime mb) and my budget isn't what it was last yr as I have less cash flow... so it takes longer plus i'm investing time into waiting for 2nd gen am5 motherboards and 8000 to show their value I intend to get at least a 6Ghz processor for it to be worth spending money on it (and again i'll give it some time till late 2025 so the prices have chance to drop) and I want to make sure it doesn't have any of the teething problems like asus's AM5 gen 1 mb overvolting plus with ASUS's current Warranty situation, alleged scams to do with repair & such I want to consider that if it's happening here in UK too then evaluating the monetary cost if I end up a victim and if theres a likeliness that I might consider another manufacture with a deep look into their background to compare service I don't wanna get a board that bricks overheats and then not be able to send it in cause of some shady business tactics to blame me for the damage and then overcharging me for it! I am not loaded it's a miracle i've been able to use stocks and prices to this point to avoid going over £2000 and I'm not broke but it takes me a seriously long time to save for parts it was 3-4 months for the case and 8 months for the GPU (and that's with cutting my groceries budget from £80 a week down to £60 a week giving me around £80 a fortnight saved towards the part & healthy food is expensive these days especially since the UK parted with the EU anything imported has gone up including healthy exotic fruits the only saves grace has been passion fruit which for some reason is just 80 pence) For me as a ROG lover my dream was to build a full ROG build to prove you don't need to be loaded to build it if your patient enough to save for the parts and skim a little from your diet (I needed to cut down on overeating anyways I recently saw a glimpse of my abs for the first time in age I've been trying to manage smaller portions trigger my stomach into more keto usage burnign fat naturally from a 48hr fast I did then after that regulating by eating far smaller amount and less often than my body requires) back to my point this whole ASUS thing is a nightmare atm I don't wanna boycott I love the idea of an all ROG pc but not if I can't repair it without overcharging asmon put it best they made it about quantity and quota for those doing the repair jobs instead of quality of service which is never good because it leads those doing the repair to doing this kind of misbehaviour leading to poor service it basically invites it! poor service in the US (and allegedly in Taiwan too idk about everywhere else) aside, I'm hoping the ASUS UK departments have better service and wouldn't leave it up to bad 3rd party companies who break a dozen rules in how they're allowed to operate as it is essentially holding parts hostage with extortion and threats of further damage gamers nexus did a vid! while it may not be asus who did it they should use better judgement in their position to determine work ethic of those 3rd party services they employ. That aside I don't think they're entirely bad company just made a few mistakes of recent and are being picked apart for it but that's how review driven technology industry works if it didn't how would our technology companies be held accountable and allow themselves to improve pretending it doesn't exist only erodes trust a company has of it's people which saddens me because they make premium quality goods as someone who used to have an MSI graphics card and an MSI case I can tell you the experience of the quality was poor it's ok for some light gaming but at 4k the temps are too high and their rgb software mystic kinda is non existent it sucks! So the value I found in ROG products is high and I hold them to a higher standard because of that at University the best laptops where those golden silver ROG laptops the large ones I loved em because unlike the lower end laptops in college they actually ran smooth the mouse was snappy and it never buffered on anything... from there I'd decided one day that I'd build a rog pc! years later i'm finally doing it I even intent to do ROG NVME's but because of that high expectancy of quality it saddens me to see this has been happening and I hope it's not another case of we're at the top so we've lost sight of the important things quality towards customers, if it passes I will go full rog build that's a promise (well about as close as I can go theres no ROG RAM or ROG CPU's yet if there was I could go a true full official rog build I wonder if AMD would be willing to do a ROG Strix Edition Ryzen 5-7-9 8000 series)
