I moved back to Clinton Twp. Michigan in December of 1991 from Ohio. It was great to watch the Lions 🦁 kick the Cowboys ass at the Pontiac Silverdome. I moved away to Indianapolis in 2008. I lived their for 15 and a half years and moved back to Michigan in September of 2023. Just a crazy coincidence.

Somebody needs to redo this song should the Lions change their losing ways. I'd love to have this playing especially after the NFC Championship at Ford Field after the Lions dismantle, dismember, demolish and yes DESTROY Aaron Rodgers' dream of making it to another super bowl. After throwing an NFL record 7 INTs, 5 lost fumbles and another NFL record 10 sacks (THE LAST ONE NOT ONLY SEPARATES HIS THROWING SHOULDER BUT SHATTERS EVERY BONE IN HIS ARM AND HE IS FORCED INTO IMMEDIATE RETIREMENT.) as the Detroit Lions earn their 1st trip to the super bowl with a 107-7 lopsided, one-sided good old-fashioned, down home, country, ass-kicking of the Green Bay Packers (Or should I say the Lean-n-Gay Shoot-Packers). When interviewed post-game, Rodgers only said "Now I know what it feels to a lady-of-the-evening. Because I wasn't just beaten, I GOT PIMP-SLAPPED by the best team in the NFL. God help AFC winner who has to play these hungry Lions in the super bowl." When asked if that was all he had to say, Rodgers responded with "It's like what they've been saying all year long since going 14-2 this year. 'Another one bites the dust'." R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

I was in 6th grade and the Lions were 4-0. I was dancing to this song when they played it on the radio and I was happy as can be!! AND THEN... Well we all know how the song really ended. 5-7 the rest of the season and no playoffs. Great song while it lasted though!

Dick Purtan did "Another One Kicks Our Butts" when their tiny little streak ended. The Lions were not used to winning 4 straight games and it went to their heads. After their 4-0 start, they only managed to win three more games that season, barely making the playoffs.
