I moved back to Clinton Twp. Michigan in December of 1991 from Ohio. It was great to watch the Lions 🦁 kick the Cowboys ass at the Pontiac Silverdome. I moved away to Indianapolis in 2008. I lived their for 15 and a half years and moved back to Michigan in September of 2023. Just a crazy coincidence.

I was in 6th grade and the Lions were 4-0. I was dancing to this song when they played it on the radio and I was happy as can be!! AND THEN... Well we all know how the song really ended. 5-7 the rest of the season and no playoffs. Great song while it lasted though!

Dick Purtan did "Another One Kicks Our Butts" when their tiny little streak ended. The Lions were not used to winning 4 straight games and it went to their heads. After their 4-0 start, they only managed to win three more games that season, barely making the playoffs.

Somebody needs to redo this song should the Lions change their losing ways. I'd love to have this playing especially after the NFC Championship at Ford Field after the Lions dismantle, dismember, demolish and yes DESTROY Aaron Rodgers' dream of making it to another super bowl. I remember this version. I had recently moved to small town Michigan after growing up in NW Ohio. I came up here a Steeler fan. Everyone kept telling me that I should switch allegiances to the Detroit Cowardlies and their Super Bowl run that year. I laughed and laughed saying "just wait!" They'll fall down and miss the playoffs. I should've taken bets that year, I could've been rolling in money.
