Brilliant effort and a great video. I didn't see any marker flags in your filming. Is the route marked with flags like in other UTMB races?

Yep, moving up slowly. Recce Raid 65km, and the Harties loop 80km 2024, will then go for 100km races from 2025.

Awesome video, well done. I'm doing CCC next week and wondered if you could share what the trails and descents are like underfoot? How rocky, slippery etc. I'm unsure which shoes to wear!

Hi Alex. So cool you’re getting to run this year. Have a great time. The trails are great, but of course it depends on the conditions. We had a big rain shower last year and it became very muddy on the singletrack , but after it cleared there were no issues at all. I ran in the Altra Mont Blanc and they were perfect for me. Great grip, and a fair bit of cushioning. Have a great run. Enjoy it as much as possible.

I took me 4 years to finally get an entry. The entry system has changed now with UTMB ‘stones’ required for the entry process. Good luck. I hope you get in. It’s a fantastic run.

It could have been such a nice video! But I just can’t hear you with the loud music in the background. Maybe edit it to lower the music or mute it completely when you’re talking to the camera. That would be much more pleasant to watch.
