Same concept with the Google super res zoom right? Just with more technicality

Does it need to be .08um @ 25:04 for the width of the DTI - instead of .8um as shown ?
@alberttheuwissen55882 жыл бұрын
What is indicated is the pixel pitch and not the width of the DTI. Check out the correct position of the points of the arrows. So what is shown is correct. Albert.

So cool that SONY opened a sensor department in Osaka. Love Osaka...my favourite city in Japan. Best people and food.

I love the cute voiceover. Really refreshing compared to the typical tough guy voices used in the west. Just one thing needs to be fixed... porcelain cups for the espresso coffee machine!!!

Weird that none of those highly educated employees can even speak English. Do they live in the last century over there? ;)

Have an issue with Nihon-go? It's fine for this presentation (and subtitled), often onsite the lingua franca is a mix of Japanese-English, some German or whatever depending on the core technology and who the principals involved are. When living there, regardless of people's English capability, kept it in Nihon-go as much as possible. Better than the Average Brit or American that is often hopeless beyond the English language... have to appreciate the arrogance of the colonial/neo-colonial mindset.

so where is your sensor?

@Pat Le Cat You must be cognitively challenged, dude. Can you speak fluent Japanese? And what makes you think Sony's employees don't speak English, anyhow? I'm getting racist vibes from you.
@Sabundy3 жыл бұрын
Wow..... arrogant much? So in your addled brain you think English=advanced? Or that English is necessary? Or that the ability to speak English says anything about someone's education? What a small, insular, and arrogant world view you have. Btw....how many languages do you speak fluently?

I've been buying Sony Gear for years. I'm glad to see Sony give Nikon and Canon a run for their money. I'm very happy they have finally copied Silicon Valley's friendly engineer like Google, Apple, Facebook, and Adobe as well as Amazon and Microsoft from some state?! etc - However, I don't see the great free restaurants, pool tables, and massage parlors yet. Keep going Sony, happy tech makes for better products! How about some Zen Yoga classes and more female software engineers maybe?! ;-)

That so-called progressive workplace culture might have been brilliant PR but is actually ruining the lives of millions of employees according to some researchers.

Quick summary of story: SiOnyx and Hamamatsu signed 'mutual' NDA dated 2007, i.e. confidential info went both ways, of which included an expiry date of 7 years, but a year later (2008), Hamamatsu broke off agreement, SiOnyx didn't state to withdrawn any shared info. And later (2009) Hamamatsu further cited to Sionyx, what they cliam to be their a different kind of 'Black Silicon' processing/structure with intend to reveal on tradeshow, SiOnyx is thus vexed to see similarity to its own invention. Both party took to parallel development till 2014, it was made know to SiOnyx of a patent filed by Hamamatsu which infringes on their invention, so begin lawsuit for breach of contract, infringement, unjust enrichment (profitting from infringement), ending with jury verdict ruling for the Plaintiff (SiOnyx), awarding damages and said patents to Sionyx. Thereafter, herein appeal, Hamamatsu only held up statute of limitation against ruling... A good cautionary tale. To quote Ben Franklin, 'The wrong is always growing more wrong until there is no bearing at all, and the right however opposed, comes right at last.

so I just want to be clear. The surface of this liquid is naturally convex but the field is forcing is to go concave right? Or is it that the liquid has a flat surface and a positive current bends the liquid in one direction while a negative current bends it in the other direction?

So, when, if ever, will this technology see the light of day (pun sort of intended) in actual working camera sensors / cameras? Right, now it only seems to be demonstration "proof of concept," but perhaps not actually commercialized?
