What size was the master bedroom and bath? Also the bump out?
@jasontodd03Ай бұрын
The exterior still looks mid century but why paint the brick and then choose those awful accent colors. The inside looks like typical modern farmhouse. Trademark barndoors? Uh everyone is using them. Too much of the original house is gone. Don’t understand the desire to knock walls down to create the oversized rooms. You lost a lot of kitchen cabinet space by removing the wall and instead of leaving the end wall cabinet you placed an awkward wall space of white subway tile trimmed with brass…not a good decision. The bedrooms are nice as is the flooring . The bathrooms are better but why choose a modern farmhouse finish for an MCM home? but it’s doesn’t have the charm of a MCM home. I’m glad you at least saved the handrail to the stairs.

I loved when you used to use the quartz that looks like marble with a very cool, bright white with a cool gray/silver, with silver colored/stainless steel fixtures! (I know that warm toned, beige/taupe/brown marble-look quartz with gold and/or flat-black fixtures is "in" currently...). That being said... nice job on the house; the floors are beautiful. 😊

😃 I admire that you actually went to the effort to fix the serious problems and managed to offer a sound and beautiful home. ❤️ Too many “flippers” just opt to put lipstick on a pig and quick sale, it’s still a pig so not good.

The new-age way of making every house some version of grey, white, black, and maybe a scrap of colour desecrates any nuance and character a home can have. This isn't a home, it's a vapid house. It lacks colour, coziness, and it's trying to give a feel of luxury and 'moderness' when in reality, it's cheap and soulless. It's modernisation and perceived customisation which only serves to increase the value of a house, rather than enhancing character. It's desperately trying to be something it's not, and it really shows 🤢 I don't see how anyone can call themselves a 'designer' and pull this out of their ass. How dystopian.

The house looks great very modern an expensive-looking but it looks so out of place by the surrounding homes like it doesn't belong there does that depreciate the value in a way?

All Master bedrooms need a fan. Every couple makes heat. One person or both will need air. That being said, the chandelier will forever be prettier, no doubt. Fan will always win out practically.

The wetroom could serve a girls locker room! The transformation is astounding. The three windows in the bathroom sort of arrested my attention, imagining coming out of the bath or shower and inadvertently flashing the neighbors!

Haha, we appreciate your humor! The wet room definitely adds a spa-like touch to the bathroom. And don't worry, we made sure to install privacy glass on those windows for peace of mind 😉. Thanks for noticing the attention to detail in our transformation!

A wonderful home. The standout features were the deck and primary suite. I really appreciate that the fridge cubby is sized correctly and that the fridge does not stick out of it. The 10ft ceilings are incredible and the stair balistrade is elegant and timeless. Love that arches are back in. My favorite light fixture was the study light. The jack and Jill bath and shower combo looked dated. I don't love the front facade. But could grow on me. A full bathroom by the front entrance seems odd. A small powder room would have been ok. The screened in porch is phenomenal and the skylights in that space just make it chef's kiss.

Thanks for the feedback! Glad you liked the deck & primary suite. We put a lot of thought into the details (like the fridge cubby)! And yes, those skylights in the screened-in porch are a favorite feature of ours too! Appreciate you sharing your thoughts!
