Hanging the curtains at ceiling hight was perfect...most decorators make the mistake of hanging them at window hight. I personally would have put in white appliances. However, really like your style...great job.

Looks very nice! I am wondering, though, why people paint over beautiful brick. From a maintenance cost standpoint, isn't it expensive to have to repaint it every so many years? Seems like just another expense to budget for.

I HATE it when brick is painted, I'm always wondering how long before a designer is having the paint sandblasted off...and that will be the new rage. I especially like the look of red brick with black trim and shutters.

@@smacmcnaron I'm with you. Why on earth do people let themselves get talked into painting brick? Not only is painted brick MUCH more maintenance (and more costly) but painted brick never has the charm, beauty, or elegance of the original brick. You especially like the red brick with black trim and shutters. I like any color of brick, though... yellow, orange-ish, and even that beige brick can be really classy. And, of course, red brick is great! I think people are nuts to paint brick. Eventually, they'll all be sorry.

When you staged this house putting a dresser or burrow in bedroom would make sense . That’s the normal way people store clothes in bedrooms ! Good job otherwise in redo of this split level . 👌

The exterior still looks mid century but why paint the brick and then choose those awful accent colors. The inside looks like typical modern farmhouse. Trademark barndoors? Uh everyone is using them. Too much of the original house is gone. Don’t understand the desire to knock walls down to create the oversized rooms. You lost a lot of kitchen cabinet space by removing the wall and instead of leaving the end wall cabinet you placed an awkward wall space of white subway tile trimmed with brass…not a good decision. The bedrooms are nice as is the flooring . The bathrooms are better but why choose a modern farmhouse finish for an MCM home? but it’s doesn’t have the charm of a MCM home. I’m glad you at least saved the handrail to the stairs.
