Hello Gn! I saw ur updated lista and see u are running 3 Dawnbringer cleric now. When do you take them in and what do you take out? Also, in our local shop meta, mostly mono red and affinity and BG Gardens, no Blue decks. would you agree that it's ok to remove deep analysis Main and Ghostly Flicker or prismatic strands and run 3 Dawnbringer cleric instead so I can preboard against red which is like 70% on our meta. or I guess my question is how would you build ur deck on a very heavy mono red meta 70%

Dawnbringer clerics past the first are only sideboard cards. You can't cut the flicker from the maindeck because it gives you inevitability and a way to win vs combo. SB DBCs come in vs red and bogles. If red is actually 70% of your meta and you aren't happy with your winrate using fams you should swap to UR Terror or something that is even better vs them.

Mortuary Mire + Ghostly flicker prevent you from decking out. From there you can attack with flyers or just wait around until the opponent decks out.

I'll say, if nothing else, it feels kind of nice watching someone else experience losing games where the opponent plays solitaire for a while. Also, playing vs fam card advantage can feel really overwhelming, so it was cool to listen you navigate what cards should be countered

Apologies for my play in this one. Watching the games back I made so many errors. In match 3 game 3 I needed to cycle Lorien on my upkeep to give myself another look at a counter.

That just be how it be. I remember watching back my Kuldotha Moggwarts video and seeing how many play mistakes we made. When you know what you did was wrong at least you remember to not do it again next time ;)

I think that was just a bad play looking back. I generally try to search for all the hawks so I don't risk redrawing them but there wasn't much of a rush in that spot

I play exclusively on paper, so my focus tend on winning as efficiently as possible. That said I use the Sage Row Denizen combo as my wincon with 2 ghostly flickers instead of one. Same as you, I find the Mystic too slow against aggro and not decisive enough for a combo win, as the birds can be fogged, prevented with Prismatic or killed before combat. Other solution that have been working really well in game 1 is Echoing Truth. Works well against Glitters, Kuldotha and spellstutters. This video really made me think. Keep it up!

Thanks! I agree with you that sages row is the better combo win if you want one. I’ve played echoing truth in the past but I think it’s a lot worse than snap. I’d rather play more ways to find snap rather than a 5th bounce spell if I feel I need more bounce. It’s a reasonable option though.

I've been trying to adapt fams to the meta, and in my opinion meeting of minds gives you a explosive turn early, also being an instant it helps you being open with a counterspell. I also like merchant scroll because it helps with consistency and virtually gives you an extra copy of every blue sorcery and instant. The mystic gives you a lot of blockers and a way to close the game quickly, since time on mtgo is a thing when you play fams. For a long time I've been using the modern age/deep analysis package, but recently I've swapped to mom and mystics, that also leaves me 2 slots to fill with more counterspells. This is nice because I enjoy a more reactive game plan. Thnks for the video

Soft permission is not ideal in the fams deck but I think it’s ok to play a copy of lose focus as an additional answer to emblems

Hi! Great video, was wondering, what's your way to close the game? Flicker +mire + archeomancer and letting the opponente deck out? What if you have to discard mire early in the game? Do you have other outs other than beatdown with the mulldrifters? Thanks!

The modern age helps a bit to close the game, but usually infinite snaps and counters gets the job done with 8-10 power in the air. You can also target the opponent with deep analysis if you really need to
