At 10:30 Bolting the Celebrant was very unnecesary, but Bolting the Skaab would have been as well, since Exploit trigger doesn't target, Balena could have chosen the remaining creature.

This is wrong actually. Exploit only works if the skaab is in play when the trigger resolves
