Awesome work. Do you wear a mask when applying oil wash?
@JohnathanHoАй бұрын
@@Oneen00325 thank you! I do not, but I don't work with them for any extended period of time where the fumes would have an affect/impact. YMMV if you work with oils a lot and for extended periods.

Hey Johnathan, does the paint brand matter do you think? Can you also talk a bit to why when you did the zenethil describe why you used sand and not just like pure grey or something? Im learning still.
@JohnathanHo2 ай бұрын
@@nickmaroney2536 brand doesn't matter so much as finish (gloss, satin, matte), and largely comes down to personal preference. I think some brands do certain things better, but you can get good results from almost all paint brands if you use them properly. The zenithal is meant largely to map out lights and shadows, and sometimes to form a base tone to work other colors off of. If I want something warmer, applying a zenithal with a warm tone instead of a neutral or cold tone would just be a way to "jump start" the process of establishing color tones.

Nice video, thank you! I have a regular Infinity that has 15 years+, there was not a Cr+ when I bought it, it still works fine never replaced a single o ring. Bought a new 0,2 combo needle/nozzle and it was it. My old needle was a V1 and it was slightly bent. They don't reccomend to take the packing seal (O ring) out...I have the tool to remove it but I never needed to remove it. I have a Infinity Giraldez and when it came home it was an unfinished and rough airbrush, contacted the factory, sent it to them, they did not admit it was a reject but they sent me a new one. Harder and Steenbeck was good before 2017.
@gonzalvezalvez65722 ай бұрын
Its still a good brand but it was sold to Iwata in 2017 and since then the quality has dropped. I know what I am talking about, I own too many airbrushes just from H&S I have 8 units not counting the Hansa and in the "old days" the tolerances were tighter and the finish was better.

What do you think about the wear and tear of tearing down the airbrush? And do you think it is needed after every use or just once in awhile? Thank you.

Nice tutorial! Have you tried a product called glossy accents? I believe that it works better to create that dome-like effect for the tokens and it cures more quickly. It self levels very well too. If you haven’t tried it, give it a shot.

I would add just one more advice.... to the tip #4 write the whole proccess in a paper or a spreadsheet in drive. It really helps to not oversaturate your brains reminding i.e. what step or what color you need to apply.

I tried to paint my templates as you showed it here with exactly the same colors. Everything looked great until I used the green and brown panelimer on the first template. It wasnt translucent at all and covered the template with brownish-grey coat and all the stippling work was lost. What did I wromg? Did you thin the paneliner down before applying?

@AuMaDa6410 ай бұрын
