We need to invent a catch-screen or paper- coffee-filter-like to attach to the exit end hose to show evidence the flush was successful by catching the debris for examination. A coffee filter rubber banded or zip tied at the exit could reveal a lot during the flush process. The hole in my idea is exactly that. I expect the pressure of the air would rip the coffee filter to shreds therefore a metal screen would be necessary.

I have a 2012 Optima SX turbo and it does the same thing. The way around it is to start the car, run it for a few minutes, turn it off and start up again. It moves the pot to the correct position and no more turbo limp mode. I have also seen it on a 90 degree day it will act normal.

Toyota should be ashamed of this garbage engineered piece. Basically rebuilt my front suspension-inner/outer tierods, steering knuckles, sway bar endlinks, and just finished replacing the coilovers too. And still this rattling. Finally came across this after a month of searching vids. Other than an engine rebuild, i have a new car.

My 2010 Corolla LE with 126k, has an AC issue. Turn on the AC on a hot summer day even all the way on high setting and it blows warm air for five minutes. After five minutes i can feel the cool air starting to blow. My mechanic replaced the AC refregeriant but doesn't resolve the issue with the delayed cooling. So I looked up the Dorman flow sensor 926818 and it's not compatible with the 2010 Corolla. I searched and there doesn't seem to be a flow sensor for the 2010 Corolla. Any suggestions?

My 2010 Corolla LE with 126k, has an AC issue. Turn on the AC on a hot summer afternoon day in South Florida even all the way on high setting and it blows warm air for five minutes. After five minutes I can feel the cool air starting to blow. My mechanic replaced the AC refregeriant but it does not solve the issue.. Will replacing the A/C flow sensor solve my issue? Also, is the voltage for the sensor the same for the Corolla? I looked on RockAuto and they don't seem to have a flow sensor for my 2010 Corolla. I find a Electronically Controlled Compressor Control Valve. Is this the same thing?

Can you please explain what the AC system, clutch, or AC compressor have to do with the air intake?
@gautorepair
@gautorepair 11 күн бұрын
Everytime the ac clutch engages it is an additional load on the engine, therefore the rpms dip. When the throttle body is dirty that same load is more noticeable because the throttle body has a harder time compensating for the load. Depending on how much crud is built up around the opening the vehicle gets worse and worse

The Flow Valve is another common Toyota issue. In that case the coolant has to be properly removed. That one can be a bit more difficult first to get to it and second to get it out ( they sort of corrode and become stuck ). There’s also a C clip ( another pain in the butt ). Toyota also doesn’t sell just that part they want you to buy the whole compressor. One other thing that sometimes pops up is the AC Expansion valve. The last and relatively easiest fix could be the AC Relay but I would think that nothing would work on the AC if that was blown. AC coolant doesn’t just disappear, if you are low on it you probably have a leak.

I was thinking my BMW AC leak was the evap coil. But how to make sure. Was playing with the grand kids one night and as I was showing them the UV flashlight in the driveway.........BOOM! Evidence of dye exactly where the X5 had just been moved from. I'm thinking most materials that can handle the water leaking from that drain tube and can dry out later will give one a good indication of an evap leak. The dye will remain after the water has dried out. It looks washed out........but where else would that dye come from.

After going to many auto shops to get the same issue replaced with pricing starting at $679 thur $1085 labor only. I was able to replace it with help of my daughter’s small hands from underneath. Yes due to the very limited space it did take me about 7 hours. I was only able to turn the screws 1/4 at the time. I used an extended 1/4” drive, 90 tooth ratchet, I also used a 1/4 drive sidewinder ratchet I modified the handle to add more reach. I have to be honest I will never do another one.
