one of the more hilarious moments from the Carol Burnett show, I wish we had shows like this these days Tim Conway was Comedy Gold R.I.P

One of the all time greatest skits. Conway was a legend. I wish we still had comedians like Conway and Bob Newhart. So understated but so damn funny

That's a classic bit. Reminds me of early radio and movie skits where former vaudeville performers would be doing their scenes, but then improv and break each other (and their audiences) up. It's good to see that still happens.

Carol Burnett and the Waltons (later, Little House on the Prairie. Geez, am I really this old) were always on our weekly watch list. (those were special to me, as, they were, stay up past my bedtime nights). And, as the All in the Family theme song went, "Those were the days".

Such a wonderful time and memories when entertainment united people with laughter and wholesome content. No vulgarity No nudity No perversion What has happened to our great country and culture? Pray hard.

I doubt Vicki will read this, but i really love this whole scene. Back when comedy wasn't the mess it is now. I have to introduce this to my gen alpha son and see what he has to say about it.

Man, I miss those two. The original show was one of my favorites. The “innkeeper” version I never clicked with. So I watched here and there. I regret missing this in real time. But what a tie-in to come full-circle to give the original show the send-off it deserved, and never got originally. Bless both of those people. Thank you so much for the experience and the memories.

That show and that sketch will never be duplicated, and that’s a good thing. There will never be another cast that was so well suited to their time. The audience never knew how far Conway would go. For Vicki to get the last word, in character, was a triumph. She aced it. He deserved it, and everyone knew it. Decades later, it’s still one of the funniest performances in television history.
