There's a such thing as too many runs. My vocal coach used to tell me that people try to cover up poor vocal control with too many runs. Some runs are great when done in moderation.

On a coaching level, Christina is actually correct here. She said “that just alone *starts singing* is more simplified” is a correct way of actually coaching. She demonstrated the correct way to sing At Last and then the way she would singing it. A professionally trained vocal coach will not let a student sing a song in their style of choice without them demonstrating that they are capable of singing it correctly. Christina is truly a talent that is a dime in a dozen
