@@NINEPOINTFIVEPROJECTS thank you. i started using SolidWorks back in 2006, yes self taught. i bought 3d printers back in 2020 and i found SolidWorks quite logical for making 3d models, every other software seems like a child toy compared to it, especially because in SolidWorks you have to start with dimensions, its so hard to get the dimensions right in other software.

Hi thanks for watching and the comments. The sides on recent RVs are built much different. I believe they are 2 inch foam board with a thin fiberglass skin on the outside and some sort of paneling inside. It's all bonded together. Man that turned out really nice, probably better than factory. Im glad you decided to tackle this project instead of scrapping it over a lil work on the cowl because the rest of the car is in really good shape when most people were saying its too far gone over a lil bit of work . These things are getting more and more rare. I can't wait to see more of this pinto project , its going to be a nice car when you get it finished. My pinto is a 79 model and ive got some wood chips ive got to get out before it rust my cowl out that was in it when I bought it that ive inspected it from under the dash and it all looks really good for now but gotta get those wood chips out. Ive gotta put a heater core in it so i can enjoy it in the winter and im in Alabama so I don't have to worry about any salt luckily. It has a fresh built 347 that I built and put in it with a 5 speed and a rear-end out of a mustang that i narrowed and put in it . Its going to be like a resto mod street car that I take to the track on occasion and drive when im off work. You're going get lots of attention in that thing like i do. Im surprised at how many people likes these cars
@NINEPOINTFIVEPROJECTS22 күн бұрын
Hi thanks for the comments. Yeah I'm looking forward to getting the Pinto complete someday, but that is a little ways off. I am going to rebuild the floor boards next because the frame comes back and attaches to them and right now theres not much to connect to. What part of Alabama are you in because I'm in Bama too.
@79beans34722 күн бұрын
@NINEPOINTFIVEPROJECTS yeah I got lucky and my floors were really nice with a little surface rust on the driver's side so I just sanded it and put rust converter on it and painted it then put some really thick peel and stick sound and heat insulation on all of the floors which will not allow water to touch the floors on the inside again if it were to leak plus it's really cheap, I used it in my roof as well and double layered it before I did the headliner. I'm in Ozark Alabama a lil town between Dothan and Montgomery . It's 20 miles north of Dothan or 80 miles south of Montgomery. Where are you located?, that's pretty cool to have someone that is that close building a pinto . I can tell that you have tinkered with cars a time or 2, that cowl came out really nice

So what time will I work for him they wouldn't let us take those motors apart that you would take him out as whole and send them back to the manufacturer cuz they were fresh out of the gate the bearings that were replaced in the shoe cycle engines that they had were actually frozen in the freezer really cold and the houses were heated and they were just dropped in to prevent any damage or shaking to the bearing if you hear the bearing when you put it in you've tapped on it wrong

Thanks, always good to know more about the mower. Recently ran over a threaded wire, one of the thin wires rode up in to spindle bearing. Those types of debris , or not keeping your blades balanced are the two main causes of bearing failure. One time I put a blade on and it didn't seat properly, that will destroy a bearing in about 30 seconds, or as soon as the blades are engaged.

I just rebuilt mine again the last thing I took apart was the head all four valve seals had come off. If you clean and use the old filter the o-ring in the oil filter should be replaced the filter should fit snug on the nipple, I will get back with the size. The valve seals will come off I glued them on with super glue. I use the same kit you use and have had the seals to come off. I would like to know are they supposed to be that easy to push on? Why because it’s not normal they fit so easy, I don’t think so. The last kit I got from Fayetteville NC the timing belt was a bad fit a real bad fit. I would like to know where you got the info the chrome faced piston ring goes on the middle grove?. Just curious. To finish up I have never seen valve seals push on that easy are the oil scraper ring be chrome faced.
