I feel you brother! I really do, but you're a little contradicting yourself here. You say we have to do the best using the stuff we have but you bought the A7C2. Tbh I am also thinking of that ahah Anyway overall I agree with the fact that Fuji can do better and I hope it will do better. I have the XH2S and it is very annoying that for a flagship camera the AF system is so inconsistent and overall bad. Yet there are things you can do about it like setting the AF settings in a certain way based on the lens and situation you find yourself in. That is also annoying because if I am on set shooting a scene, I am not going to mess around with the settings back and forth. Sony just works without doing anything to the settings with most lenses. I am giving Fuji until the end of the year to come up with a firmware that is decent and then I'm switching. Colours are great it is true but especially if you do client work you need something reliable and fuji at this point as far as video is concerned is not the most reliable. Good luck man!

Hi Rareș, thanks for your kind feedback. Haha in my case I need it for my professional work and I need to have decent autofocus to work with, at least to help me with the simplest tasks. And that doesn't mean that the X-S20 is a bad overall camera. In contrary it's great and I hope they will fix the issues soon. And I'm still keeping my X-T5s because their autofocus works better and they have fantastic image quality that I don't want to miss. But I'm with you, especially regarding the X-H2s. They sold this camera looking to attract professional videographers and then they decrease the autofocus capabilities over time and give you no regular way back(firmware) that's not conflicting the guarantee of the product. I hope they improve in this.

**Information Update: Due to the latest Firmware Update 3.00 with Reala Ace for the X-S20 my autofocus started to struggle in the easiest talking headshot scenarios in video. That autofocus behaviour is not acceptable. When you use AF-S, the camera still works totally fine. But for my professional work I can not rely on it anymore. So I decided to sell my X-S20 and get the Sony A7CII. Video on that topic is coming soon. So keep that in mind before buying this camera and try to stay away from Firmware 3.00 if you still can or try to downgrade the firmware at your own risk. Maybe they will fix this issue in the future but I couldn't wait that long.

Hows the dual gain iso feature in flog2 Where the base is 1250 iso while the second gain kicks in at iso 3200 and cleans the noise off the image after grade. Its great for uncontrolled darker interiors where when paired with a fast prime can really be a great lowlight video camera

I just bought this camera hasn't arrived yet but I decided on the xs20 over the Canon R8. Reasons IBIS, size, price of fast glass, film simulations sound fun and inspiring when in the moment instead of at the desk, also every single pro says it's canon sony or nikon or it's not professional. I want them to eat it when they se the phots. I have this urge to do something when everybody else just tells me it is impossible or I can't do it.

How does it compare to the sigma 56?
@destin-danser2 ай бұрын
@@D88182 I haven’t actually done a side by side comparison yet, but my early thoughts are: 1.) The Sigma remains perfectly good if lighter weight and cost/value are concerns, and you can live without an aperture ring. 2.) The 56 1.2 WR is maybe ~5-10% better image quality to my eye, and at 1.2 has a more three dimensional look, or more “pop”/subject separation. 3.) Point 2 may well be entirely in my head and simply the result of my trying to justify the money I spent Ultimately I could work happily with either one. For now I’m keeping both and will use the sigma when I want a lighter kit. If I’m being honest, I’ve debated selling the 56 1.2 WR because my clients won’t notice the difference either way and the sigma is way cheaper/lighter.
@D881822 ай бұрын
@@destin-danser thanks for those thoughts. Yeah, I used the sigma 56 on the Sony prior before changing systems to Fuji. Was happy with it. I do miss it, but the 1.2 seems enticing on the Fuji. What about the autofocus? Everyone complains about the Fuji 56 but how does it compare to the sigma 56?
@destin-danser2 ай бұрын
@@D88182 I haven’t done any scientific testing, but my hit rate seems similar on both. The sigma feels a little quicker to focus to me, probably because it has way less glass to move.
