Forcing people to pay to access their own raw data is a shame, you are afraid of open databases and people transferring their BAM.

I have a question for Familytreedna concerning the Big Y-700 I bought a Big Y-700 DNA test for my brother so he could learn more about his biological fathers lineage surprisingly he has 0 matches he has one haplogroup match that is in South Africa but the South African haplogroup match does not show in his Big Y matches and that's a problem! It shouldn't matter if you're haplogroup matches are from the same country they should show who they are in your Big Y matches which defeats the purpose of taking the Big Y-700 DNA test!
I did not know that I shared the same ancestor with Chuck Norris, Bill Gates, James Monroe, Martin Luter(Protestant Reformer), Oliver Winchester, George Armstrong Custer, Clan Munro, Clan Lindsay. I am Serbian today, and my Haplogroup is I2a2, and I believe the origin land is Scotland 🇷🇸🏴

Please help! In Wikitree. There are people, they brag about their Phds and all. Keep telling me I am not a real genealogist. I have been working on my family tree stuff for a long time. I have been able to work off of what has been handed down from generations going way back. There is one part of my family tree that someone puts in this big long spill about DNA, because they have DNA connecting two or three people, the other people in this family tree they don't have DNA matches for or something about they are not part of some certain DNA group. These people will tear that/my family tree apart. Adding other people, deleting people, and so on. It is like they use the DNA as a way to bully me out of certain parts of my family tree so they can twist their family tree into it. My question is how can it be 100% positive there are DNA matches for people 200 plus years ago? My understanding is that DNA is only as good as the data that is reported, such as family histories.

I don't quite get how the % is calculated. For example, if you are 10% scandinavian, does it mean you share 10% of your DNA with a "pure" 100% scandinavian?
Please separate Thailand from southern China because they have different genes. If not, then southern and central Thai people will not have a percentage in this section.

Ftdna dues not provide the raw dna file for you to download. They advertise that they do but I had my DNA done over a year ago and I am still unable to download my dna file

Family Tree has some shitty results. I did Family Tree because I'm adopted and had read that they have the best options for adoptees. I was born in Korea. As far as I've ever known I'm half black/Korean.I received my results and it said I was 50% asian (46% Korean) 13% European (10% Scandinavian, 3% western European) .36% african. I was confused at first because out of hundreds of matches most were Caucasian. I don't look black at all and I figured my results made sense. So they did an update and I'm 50 African and 50 asian but not mostly Korean. During their last update I'm now 53% African and 47% asian (7% Korean and mostly South Asian) but all the people who I'm related to are all still the same. The only difference is now I have even more Caucasian ancestors. This simply makes no sense. I've called their customer service. They won't tell you anything and give nothing but canned responses.i wanted to do other tests but I just don't trust family Tree anymore.

I did dna test in four companies including FamilyTreeeDNA. All gave the similar results
