If your still rowing be interested in seeing your now used New rower against say a Model C rower on the same format and how they compare.

I’m always rowing…. ;) I actually convinced my neighbour to buy a model C when it popped up for £200 - so I’ll ask him if I can use it! Great suggestion.

Why do you use cardio as a hyrox program and not running?

Found I was over compressing probably as a result of over reaching. Only did the first 3 sessions, kettlbell session to follow, but I'll come back to this workout

Beat my target by 2-3 meters per interval. I reduced the DF to 137 for this session from 143 in the first session. Average stroke rate increased to 48 from 45. I don't know if they're related just passing along data! Thanks John!

Ciao John, i’m doing 45 minutes rowing and then your hiit twice per week, very tough, love it, i’m overweight quite a lot, so this helps me to lose few grams 😅 do you have more of those hiit videos? Thanks for what you do for ua

What if my ankles are not forward rotation flexible enough? When my shins are vertical, my heels are 3 or more inches above the spot they should be getting to push off from, so I pretty much use calfs to push off. Was considering adding wedges under my heels.

Finished strong, but had to go about 2k +40 at recovery. But held my 1 min pace at well below my 2k time. Like 2k - 15. Very exciting for me. Thank you again.

#fluxcapacitor #timewarp that was tougher than day 2 this week. My intention was to row 2k+2 and my eyes were bigger than my appetite. I definitely came out to fast at the beginning and struggled in the later half of the 10 minutes, I still managed to increase pace for each interval but it was tough trying not to talk myself into quitting 😅

Sir, hows the distance between the seat and the floor? I cannot crouch and I'm afraid if its too low I woundt be able to get up due to a problem in the legs, what about othrs that may be higher? do they exist? this seems very high compared to the rest.

Fun to listen to. I build my stroke rate around my breathing pattern. The breathing pattern does not change.
@rowalong3 күн бұрын
The interesting thing for me is when the control goes. It doesn’t matter when I breathe, just that it’s controlled. So when it gets ragged during a 2k I know things have kicked up in intensity!!

Heh heh, at least it shows that the Drag Factor setting is the same on different machines 🙂

Not on the 2k plan but used this to try and push a good 30mins time for my Smartrow monthly challenge. Really im just putting off doing my 5km TT trial!

#brokenrecord I kept this firmly in the low intensity after yesterday’s blast and to get ready to give it my all tomorrow 😅 I concentrated on heart rate rather than pace.

Will this just record my runs during hyrox training? What do I do when I am using the rowing machine for example?
@rowalong3 күн бұрын
I hit a lap as I go through in arch. I then hit the lap again as I enter the station. I usually forget to trigger one as I exit the station, but I do trigger one as I go out of the out arch. So it’s up to you how many laps you want to set.

I'm relatively new to rowing and I found you channel and wanted to say thank you. They are great, I'm rowing about 3 days per week, so the 30 min in 30 days will last me for awhile. Great content, great direction, thank you. Bill 57yo Burnaby Canada

#notquitetop #mammabear wowsers that was a great workout. I managed to increase the pace on each rowing interval until by interval 5i completed at 2k pace. 😅 I definitely had to take a little breather before the cool-down 😂

#Boston nice low intensity workout,thanks for keeping me going and distracted. With the long rows it’s not the physical side that’s tough, it’s the mental aspect of not getting bored and giving up.

You can duplicate any workout as the base and then tweak to suit what you need.
@蒙西-b8h6 күн бұрын
In the stroke mechanics section when you're demonstrating the stroke, you're shooting the slide for the first few inches of the drive. Not sure if this is an issue with the machine if the drag factor is too "heavy" at the catch?

I had a long run yesterday and i wanted today to be recovery. I also want to do this speed playlist for the February CTC 300m challenge. So today I planned to just row easily through this workout to get an idea of what to expect. That happened on the first interval and then game on!! Challenging but doable. 105m average, looking forward to building on that!
