I was getting very frustrated trying to tie down the cart to my kayak. Loved your tips and ideas Thanks for the video

Watched your video then went shopping lol time to build now. Love others ideas also like glow stick and the beveled leading edge on noodle. I cant wait. Im sure a person could bend leading edge of aluminum to make it drift wider yet.

I abandoned the strap for bungees. I'm only going to and from the parking area. The instructions that came with it say to tie loops around the top bar, but I suspect slipping the strap under A frame would work best.

I've the same cart, bought this year. They've filled the tiers with foam, and they are nowhere near as stinky.

When you use anchor trolley is it only when you are using anchor or use it with brush clips too?

I use the trollies with brush clips and even to fine tune my drift angle with drift socks. My anchor is what I use the least.

Does anyone ever put their name and number on their cart and leave it tucked away off to the side near the launch instead of taking it with them?

Don't use Lynch pins, there are better options such as R pins that grip the axle with spring tension. You can get them in marine stainless.

It's really too bad that channel cats don't get bigger because pound-for-pound they fight harder than blues or flatties. There's a lot more chaos when they're in shallowater like I was in too.

I just got the whisker seeker med/heavy casting, which power rod is you whisker seeker rod? Or which do you prefer I’ve caught a 16lb flat on my FMG spinning med/heavy and feel that rod was more then enough for that fish probably be good up to 35lbs I think

Some people have been recommending replacing the linch pins with stainless steel 3" r-clips after losing the linch pins. Also, if you are having problems with the support legs sinking into soft sand, the support can be re-installed with the legs facing up. The horizontal portion of the support now provide more surface area contacting the sand. Slipping a pool noodle or similar onto the horizontal portion provides even more surface area.

Great tip. I just ordered a set of soft loop ties like so and can't wait to try them out. Spring is here. I just wish I could have found some in a colour other than black. I have so many black straps...

Thank you brother, I have been struggling with this thing for the past season and hated because t would collapse for the very reasons you mentioned. I tried to carve out a wooden piece to hold the two collapsible bars from crashing down unfortunately they keep breaking under the pressure! Your solution was ingenious, thank you for sharing

Rattle Noise: I will give them a Try, because ,clunking Works to attract catfish, BUT I don't believe color matters at all , when dealing with Catfish. They are literally a swiming Toung , with Lateral sensors , Tasting the water. Only an eel can out sense a Catfish; at one part per Trillion in Water. No, They simply say, something stinks," Like our current Administration", arrive on the scene, to confirm a glob of crap, only tantalizing to them.

I have tried this 100 ways to Sunday, I get the concept but can’t see exactly what you mean by the bend? It is not exactly clear where you are putting the green straps. Suffice it to say, not working for me yet.

Lost an anchor the other day in a panic. So I'm searching for tips. There are a couple of great tips here that are not mentioned in many other sources. I see the value in having slack between the bottom and top of the anchor. And about the strength of ~30 lbs- I used 50lb mono line and that was way too much. I was due for a better anchor but I won't loose the next one to a rookie mistake.

I noticed you put the rod under your leg, have you ever had a fish pull so hard that you almost got yanked out of the kayak?
@FloatFishAdventure
@FloatFishAdventure Жыл бұрын
That's my signature move!! You can use it, but you have to pay me 🤣 They're typically more out of juice by the time I get to that point. Lots of angry thrashing but not many hard dives. Either way the rod and drag can cushion them if they do.
