I may not be used to the wide ratio spacing in this particular gear box, but I kept yelling ‘downshift!’ as he came out of some of the corners at like 3-4k rpm. My experience with this engine is that it lacks low and mid range torque something awful - gotta ring it out! However, he was in 3rd gear so there’s a chance that 2nd is too big a step.

FYI, the exterior temperature of the pan is going to be cooler than the fluid inside. I saw a video of a transmission fluid change and the guy compared the temperature of the pan using an infared gun like you did vs the vag tool (much more accurate) and the result was that there was a difference in temperature, but I can't recall the difference, maybe around 10 degrees.

I need to do this on my 2008 Lexus LS460. Is it the same procedure? Is a filter recommended to change in these?

Do you need to reuse old shims?

I installed Linux CarPlay on the is250 3rd generation. The horizontal size matches and the screen is 11.3 inches, so the screen is big. I can't see the information of the car, but carplay is enough. The air conditioner display is on the screen, so there is no big inconvenience yet. Boot up takes 5 seconds. I bought it during the sale period and it's 38 dollars, so it's cheap.

Nice video. I also do drain & fill the same amount that came out on my Audi and VW. But I only jack up the front and the rake will actually help you drain out more ATF because the drain is located towards the back.

Arguably one of the hardest tracks to drive any car on. It’s so long, would imagine it takes an untold amount of laps, & time to just memorize, & get it even somewhat right.

I had the dealer did it for me for $230. Expensive? Just over $317 with oil change as well. I had 10% discount that’s why. I thought about changing the brake fluid at home but I thought so much works, etc.. so I just went to the dealer anyways.

Bro, end of 70 Limit on a country road means the limit of 100 is now applied. You went 170 which costs you your license. If you caused an accident you can even get jail time for that. The only place you can go that fast is on the autobahn when the sign end of all limits tells you to.

hard to speak since im in the UK market but at least here, you can get a TVD with or without the carbon pack. Importing from japan, theres even more variety in trims, but many dont have the ML system.

One thing to note is that there is a tab in the dead-center of the white housing that needs to be pushed to one side before you can get to the bulbs. I kept trying the tab at the bottom but that did not do the trick. I then looked at another video where he unscrewed 3 8mm screws (top, left and right) binding the lights. I unscrewed them and then I could easily get to the white housing. That is when I saw the tab in the middle that had to be pushed. Working now. Thanks!

Nice looking car Unfortunately it is very slow for a v8 with 467 hp On the dyno it produces roughly 370whp That's more than 20% loss which is crazy
