So here’s the thing. The downward knees is not a cross up or unblockable. If you slow the video down and watch it back, he was ducking for whatever reason when your gief was in the air on the way down allowing the knees to land as an overhead. Later on when he had ruby heart he actually stood up like he’s supposed to again characters super jumping in the air and the knees got blocked.

Sorry to have to tell Nintendo users but it’s going to be extremely difficult to execute proper combos and supers with that controller yet alone that arcade board online without d-pad or fight sticks

I have a hit box and a smash box. And I can’t stand the hitbox cuz the jump button. I would prefer the WASD that the smash box has, or more buttons on the hitbox with it spaced out so it’s more ergonomic. BUUUUUUUUT SERIOUS QUESTION….. I can’t tiger knee on the hitbox/smash box leverless controllers…..how do yall do it? Cuz there’s no way I’m gonna get these aerial hyper viper beams off when MVC2 comes back. I don’t wanna go back to controller. I can feel the blisters on my L thumb already :(

It's difficult at first you need to press down forward and here comes the hard part the jump button and the punch or kick button must be pressed at certain rhythm you need to press first the jump button and then the 👊 if you do it to fast your character will do a super jump if you do it to slow it will only jump there are some tutorial videos but I don't agree in some things with them if you are right handed you can use your right thump to press the jump button and it will be more ez but it's sometimes hard depending on the side you are on the screen so I suggest you practice with both thump's I repeat It will be hard but don't get discouraged you can practice vs the machine in arcade mode after some training trust me it will make things ez as time goes by :) I only play god tier on the hitbox and I can do wery well now soy keep it up

@@anz9299 not gonna lie I’ve ran into similar videos and tried multiple things. The rhythm presses for up and attack makes sense cuz it has to be registered within a certain amount of frames to be considered consecutive presses or you know sequenced. I have not tried pressing down and forward at the same time though so I’ll give that a shot! But I did have one of my R thumb buttons set to Up which helped the timing but never successful as I was experimenting with inputs, always got the normal jump out which was frustrating as hell hahahaha another question… what is your directional input settings set to? For example, neutral, first priority last priority etc. im set to last priority cuz it makes footsies, neutral and inputting special moves easier in my opinion. I think last priority is illegal but I’m not sure if it’s illegal in smash. But I ain’t competing so I’m not concerned about it. I wish I was but having time to practice and compete is rare. Almost considered picking up the fight stick pad that replaced the lever with a D-pad. That shit looks funny as hell but it works out in my favor hahahah but I’m bored of controller and wanted to challenge myself with the box cuz I was never good at using levers or boxes to begin with hahahha needed to add some difficulty to keep games interesting hahah
