Every game is the same now. Developers care about the graphics more than the gameplay itself. Buy a looter shooter, you have had that same experience 10-20 years ago. Buy a survival game. Sure, some mechanics will be different, but it's the same game again. Something fun comes out, the "pro" players have too much influence on the game and they remove everything that made the game fun to the general public. Gaming as a whole is in a very bad spot. The devs do not understand what gamers want and they don't care. They only want to figure out how to squeeze every dollar out of their fan base.

Sbmm, forced crossplay with pc, cheaters, aggressive monetization from greedy developers, griefers, constant need to grind, manipulative systems designed to try to addict you, etc. There are so many reasons why mp game’s suck nowadays. If you ever think “Games were so much better back then…” it’s not because you’re blinded by nostalgia it’s because they actually were just better.

Great video. I don’t think it has anything to do with the quality of games, but rather people’s increasing need for immediate gratification and dopamine. All of us on social media have been rewired the last 5 years to have our “amusement receptors” be hit within 5 seconds of scrolling or watching a video, or we check out. Games rely on the players’ patience and dedication to understanding the game, mechanics, or lore before they can actually sit back and enjoy it. Now days, people check out if there’s not an immediate hook with the game and don’t want to waste 2-4 hours of their time deciding if a game will be fun or not. People now how to constantly be entertained and do not put up with any lull in action.
@Exiled72 күн бұрын
I think this isn’t a correct belief as it means none of us should have enjoyed any of the games over the part 5 years

@@Exiled7 Hey man! Thanks for the reply. Again, great job on the video - I think you're definitely spot on with life priorities changing and not having the mental or literal time to dive into something. I don't necessarily think it means NO one has enjoyed ANY game, but rather, games have to try harder to keep your attention and generally speaking, people aren't willing to try new games long enough to see if they like it and will go back to games that they KNOW scratches the itch for them.

I've had a ps5 for over a year now and i've never played a ps5 game. I play older ps4 games only. I think current gen is one of the worse generations of gaming ever and i've been gaming since the zx spectrum days in the late 80's. For me i feel like games are being used as bait to draw the players into their DLC scams and nobody likes feeling like they're being scammed. Games now are half finished buggy messes on launch but they always make sure the ingame marketplaces, loot boxes, season passes, buying fake currency for real money and all that DLC tom foolery works perfectly from day 1. Ladies and gentlemen we are being scammed by the gaming industry and it's time to fight back and demand better. Stop pre ordering. Stop buying game at launch especially if they have day 1 DLC ready to go. Wait for the real product which is the game of the year edition. That has most of the bugs fixed and all the bits and pieces they cut from the game put back in.

i am not big fan of the franchise since didnt play that much different games. i played back in the the brotherhood and revelations and i had fun but i thought that the combat was ultra dull and when i thought all games were like this ( i did research to the former games). well i enjoyed it in the first game and i hoped they improve it. but it was the same the next AC game i played was odyssey and it was an amazing game to me. story might be lacking for an AC fan but i was so into the game i did 100% in like ~120 hours. was a blast. only thing annoyed me was that when i did go to a camp, i shot an arrow in someones h*ad it did never kill unless you did skill bows. i had such a blast i looked at black flag which was supposed to be a good game. (hoping it will be the same as odyssey). i refunded it. same dull gameplay of the ones i played like 10 years prior to that bought origins in a sale after because people told me "this is better than odyssey". well i flushed it after 20 hours of gameplay. i might go back to it again when i have nothing to play. (which is right now and why i stumbled on this video). origins didnt hook me like odyssey did. i am very fond of the BIG RPG gameplay style in those games. why i flushed origins was that the combat didnt feel as good as in odyssey.

I own too many games and feel like I have ADD, I have hundreds, maybe a couple thousand hours worth of great games I've collected over the past 8 years, but I'm always afraid of making the wrong choice of game to get immersed in....and feel like a game has to be perfect and grab me to be able to have fun, which is not necessarily the case.

Bro it’s dopamine we can’t take a unlimited amount of it in , people wake up phone in their face, vape in their hand and expect things to hit the same compared to as a kid when you had little time to do these things if people have things to do ex. Working out , cleaning your stuff, managing your money, and then after all of that then you watch your tv , play your games it’s so so fun, if you add your boys in the mix it’s going to be damn near a natural high that you want to chase. The thing is moderation. When I’m playing games all the time I hate them but when I minimize the time I have it maximize what I actually am doing during this time it’ll always be better .

I don't know how to not enjoy games. I play the game I enjoy, and I don't play ones I don't enjoy...it's that simple. And nobody forces me to play games I don't enjoy. I watch a lot of reviews before I buy a game, and I never pay new release prices, and rarely do I buy new. With that system, of the 100-150 games I've bought for PC, Sega Megadrive, Supernintendo, PS1-4, I've only bought a few that were mistakes. Nor do I agree with content creators who claim new games are bad, and old games are better. I think, via experience, some old games are better than some new games...and some new games are better than some old games. I still play GT4 on my PS2, the pinnacle of the series, as imo, GT5, 6 and Sport are rip offs....especially GT6, which, unlike the previous four versions, 6 is a near identical copy of 5, instead of a vast improvement. I still play Quake I & II, HL1, Original Doom on my XP powered computer. I played Fallout 3 on my PS3 for 3 years, and am still enjoying Fallout 4 on my PS4 Pro after 3 years without ever having finished it, nor having any desire to. I have about 100 games at the moment (PC, PS3 and PS4), most unplayed, seeing as I can joyfully spend 3-4 years on one game. That equates to, at least, 100 years of gameplay. Thus I have no need or desire to upgrade my (built from mostly new parts) i5 CPU\GTX 970 video card computer...or buy a PS5. As a gamer when 3D games first hit the scene, I'm not mesmerised by today's graphics. I prioritise gameplay, and I don't give a toss about character backstories, ultra visuals or gameplay reducing cutscenes.

I'm so sick and tired of all this political BS and agendas in real life so when I play a game it's to escape from all that, escape reality. Unfortunately almost all the games made in the last decade is full of that shit. And 99% of time it's directed in one particular direction. The "woke" checklist they have to do in every single god damn game is really getting tiresome.

i'll add, if you are into a franchise, doesn't matter what it is, lately the internet is very good at showering games with criticism but not a whole lot of praise, it get's more clicks to dogpile than to be positive, and content creators know this. If you buy that game regardless you are already going to be looking through a negative frame of reference and nit picking the game rather than having fun with it. I've pretty much revived all my enjoyment for games simply by leaving the reviews and criticisms and typically bad takes behind. I'm not swayed to not pick up games i'd typically enjoy so i just get the ones that look fun to me and play em, no nagging in my ear being like," this is garbage don't even bother. " Edit: omg right when i posted the video covers this lol

Had same problem. Been pc gaming since og doom. But past couple years i dunno...i normally play fps but tried Warframe. Had a really good stint of enjoying gaming again! Then tried racing Sims with an ffb wheel and pedals. Enjoying gaming again between wf and about 5 rally sim games! Also want to point something out. I too during my years of gaming sucking, i was watching yt about games but not playing... Now newer games sucking extra hard lately aside, i don't think watching yt about a game before playing does us any favors.... As Long as game isn't broken, part of that old timey fun was we had no idea what the game was all about beforehand. We were learning as we went which added to the magical feeling.... My opinion at least.

I still enjoy games a lot but im way more selective and can't stand shitty "optimization". Tired of wokeness wich is one of the main reasons why games are "bad" today. And im not even talking about their social messages. When you hire a team based on their colour or sexual preference instead of skills and talents, this is what we get.

I have a very in depth thought on this topic. Just hear me out. I want to start with a disclaimer that I have inattentive adhd that’s gotten worse over the years (gaming was the only form of stimulation that worked) and for me it’s harder to start a game than play the game, similar to going to the gym; it’s hard getting there but once you’re there it’s fine. With that out of the way, I’m at work all day and think about all the games I wanna play until I get home and lose all interest. I think about what kind of games these are and they are usually PvP type games which has lost their spark due to the f2p micro transactions greed era. But we can’t stop playing them causes they’re really nothing else unless, my next point; playing with friends. A fun group of friends (2-4) can make every game better. Cause you are all there to connect and have a good time not just playing a game. Look into some indie games. They are generally more fun than big AAA company’s. You’re having a great time with your friends then comes to that point in the night where it dies down and people get off for the night, but you still have that itch to game more so you’re able to go back to your other games that felt stale without a problem cause you got your spark back TL;DR having a group of friends you can have fun with on anything will reignite your passion you once had for games you used to enjoy (Remember friends aren’t forced, it comes naturally on accident)
