The harrasment I saw of these whale sharks were shocking. The whole experience was a sad travesty. People were jumping in front of them and some were not good swimmers at all which meant the whale shark had to change direction. I saw numerous people touch the whale shark. I will never do this again and do not recommend.

I was in Mexico and felt like a celebrity because everyone kept shouting, “Charlie, Charlie!” As I wandered further, I encountered an old man who was missing a leg, accompanied by a Chihuahua that was missing two legs. I asked him where we could find some fun activities. He directed me to a place called “EL Burro.” Once I arrived, I couldn’t believe my eyes. During my vacation, I was fortunately only robbed twice by the police.

We went and did the day trip. I must say the inhibits vehicle and buffet were amazing. The whole trip was fantastic and I will be back.

Yeah it’s easy to go to Mexico and miss out on a true experience that only cenotes, ruins and native rituals can deliver . Nature is the driving force also

Hi, which xcaret is this exactly? I am trying to plan a surprise trip for my husband in September and he always wanted to stay at this hotel and enjoy all their activities. I’ve seen a couple names such as (Hotel Xcaret Mexico Playa del Carmen) and ( Hotel Xcaret Arte Playa del Carmen) could I get the actual name so that I can book the actual hotel please. We usually like to book a package deal which is flights and hotel. Thank you

You can, but they don't recommend it. You could lose it in the water. They have a photographer following your group and he takes lots of photos of you, including any photos you request him to take. The total price for all photos is like 85 dollars. Worth it because it's a flat rate and you can ask him to take as many photos as you want. Plus you don't have to worry about losing your phone. And his viewpoints will capture way better photos than you.

I just spent one week. It was enough. It's not as big as he says. But it's still amazing. You really just need a day for every park. Maybe 2 days for the hotel.

These tours have to come up with some better food than sandwiches. Your in Mexico to eat the food of the land, there are no Mexicans eating sandwiches outside the resorts. Where is the chismol, beans, rice, tacos, mole, etc.?

These cenotes are literally in the middle of the jungle, you can't expect them to have a full spread of authentic Mexican cuisine. There are times and places for that, this isn't one of them.
