Is this physically challenging? I don't have great balance, no swimming skills, and fear to jump off a cliff. But I have done other activities in other countries such as hiking, zip lining, water rafting, rappelling and a few others

They talk about hands free experiences so in the xenotes you don't need anything. You can leave a change of clothes, etc in the van. You use the same van all day. They provide a mesh bag and towel for the day.

just got back to the US yesterday and it's exactly what the girl said it's worth the money. we were told by the flight receptionist it's something u must do. we had no plan but to enjoy thr resort.. I am not an adventurous person at all .matter of fact I was crying descending to the closed cenote. but I was glad. I did all the activities even jumping of all the rocks.. the food was amazing and the smoked salmon and the brownies were so delicious. there is turkey roast beef and other subs toppings. also don't get too full cause u need to swim in the last cenote..The people r so friendly and they go at your own pace. not rushing u at all. this is coming from someone in their late forties ans scared to death. my two girls 10 and 15 and my husband's enjoyed this and it was the highlight of our 4 days trip. and I want to to mention our driver Eliot papa Dolphin. I give him 10 out of 10. he was our tour guy and driver. he is funny. adventurous. soo knowledgeable. and over all nice.. the only downside was the price of the picture package. we did not bring phone covers and they have someone take pictures of u throughout each activities. and the price was a little high. $120 for 4 people. so bring a phone cover. water closed shoes. cannot wear makeup and sun blocks. ( it's community water they r trying to keep it as clean as possible). no extra items like sun glasses. u don't need it and no place to put it. u come down one end and come out of another end. book it and enjoy. worth every penny.

from our agent at the resort. it was around $370. and the tour driver picked us up at 8:50 and they picked up other groups from other close by resorts.. don't worry u have room in the van and my familt actually enjoyed the group. u get to chat with them and they became my cheerleaders when i was afraid of jumping off the cliff. they drop u off around 1730. it's all Dat thing. but there r other activities that r 2 hrs drive.. this specific cenote tour is 30 to 40 min drive..and all 4 of them r 5 to 10 min drive. our papa Dolphin Eliot talked to us and gave us heads up about the next activities...He was our tour guy.

as long as you know how to swim, its fine. you gotta be able to hang on to a pair of monkey bars for like 10 seconds and you should be able to swim about 250 m. An 85 year old grandma was there with us and she was perfectly fine

Can you bring your iPhone to take pictures and videos?
@Hoodratliker Жыл бұрын
You can, but they don't recommend it. You could lose it in the water. They have a photographer following your group and he takes lots of photos of you, including any photos you request him to take. The total price for all photos is like 85 dollars. Worth it because it's a flat rate and you can ask him to take as many photos as you want. Plus you don't have to worry about losing your phone. And his viewpoints will capture way better photos than you.

These tours have to come up with some better food than sandwiches. Your in Mexico to eat the food of the land, there are no Mexicans eating sandwiches outside the resorts. Where is the chismol, beans, rice, tacos, mole, etc.?
@Hoodratliker Жыл бұрын
These cenotes are literally in the middle of the jungle, you can't expect them to have a full spread of authentic Mexican cuisine. There are times and places for that, this isn't one of them.
