Fun Fact: If you take closer listen at 4:50. You can hear Mr. Conductor refer to Diesel 10 as "New Diesel". Where Diesel 10 was originally intended to be a new diesel in the original script.

They’re large scale models used for the movie and for the later model series (Series 5-12) as they were more crew friendly, and were more easier to maintain. Also D10’s model had to be large to fit the motors and servos in it for Pinchy.

Despite some people really dislike this film plus it didn't do well I still enjoy this film and it's by far my fav Thomas film. Not to mention the only one with real people in it.

They made their own models. Bachmann didn’t make Thomas stuff yet. It’s gauge 1.

They’re Gauge 1 models. Which is actually the same size as G scale. However for Thomas And The Magic Railroad and the Model Series, the models are a little bigger than true Gauge 1 scale to fit the eye servos and equipment. Diesel 10’s model itself is larger due to the fact that they had to fit the services and motors in it to make PINCHY come to life.
