@itsangeangelina3 ай бұрын
Sorry to hear this, this is indeed a shared experience. It takes time to find something suitable and affordable. I was renting a room in different places for years before I could find my apartment. Sometimes it is luck, good timing but don't give up. Keep looking on Daft and refresh every few hours. You can also try to reach out to rental agencies and let them know your budget and if they can take your number and reach out when something comes up. If you are in urgent need of a place, you may start with renting a room only.

Thanks for sharing, I may have missed it but how much did they charge for the braids?
@itsangeangelina8 ай бұрын
hey! they charge €170 for the install (for 22 -28 inches) + €10 per pack of hair used. They now asked for a deposit when booking and they do complementary wash and blow dry first before doing the braids. if you go with a medium length, the install is €150. There are also cheaper options for regular box braids etc... I believe you can bring your own braiding hair to avoid the additional charge for the hair they can provide (you need to call them and confirm if this is still an option). I hope this helps :)

I've lived in Dublin for 16 years and I can tell you 100% that if you rent this apartment for that price a month, you have something going on the side or the place is not really Dublin, not City center anyway, It can be Lucan, or even further, Blanch, I don't know but if you have this in City center tehre is something going on for sure, otherwise is a pile of BS
@itsangeangelina9 ай бұрын
Yes it very expensive in general and it is getting worse every year. I have nothing on the side apart my 9-5 job. I just became very good at managing my money since lockdown/pandemic and I am on a pretty much great salary today compared to when I moved in (I work as a project manager). I wish rent would be lower but it is what it is right now. I do not live in the city centre but my commute is great still in county dublin :)

Hi Is the rent inclusive of gas, electricity and water?
@itsangeangelina9 ай бұрын
Hi! no, it's only the rent for the apartment which came fully furnished. Usually rent in Ireland does not cover other bills unless it is specified by your landlord. All rentals here are semi or fully furnished but you can ask the landlord to change the furniture if you wish (at your own cost I think).

Je ne crois pas que ce soit plus cher qu'un placard au centre à Paris? ....en tout cas ça ne coûte pas trois fois rien à Dublin non plus
@itsangeangelina9 ай бұрын

Hiya. Is €50,000 a decent salary to live in Dublin? Most of the apartments ive seen are around €1,700 PCM is that doable for someone getting the 50k salary?
@itsangeangelina9 ай бұрын
hey! 50k salary is decent to live in Dublin but for renting on your own at 50k a year it can be challenging as crazy as it sounds. The best ratio is that your rent should not be more than 1/3 of your net monthly salary (which is not the case for many people unfortunately). Assuming you are contributing to pension at 2%, at 50k your monthly income would be a little over 3k so a rent around 1k would be ideal. if you are good with managing your money you can stretch it to 1.1k or 1.2k. Some studio apartments are around the 1k mark for rent but quite small. one of my friend just got a studio for 900 euros/month. I advise you to to go the PWC income calculator to have an idea of your monthly pay so you can plan ahead - download.pwc.com/ie/budget-2024/income-tax-calculator.html
@poussinhamzah40139 ай бұрын
If you earn 50K a year €1700 will take about half of your net salary. If you cook yourself and don't go out it would probably be ok....If you take out contracts with mobile phone, internet, TV etc watch out for the fine print as many operators will add a clause that allow them to increase your subscription yearly based on the consumer price index and inflation.

Hi there :) a 2-bed in Dublin on average is around 1,900 - 2,500 euros a month (it is crazy money) you can also find a 2-bed for just about 1,800 If lucky. Rent here is out of control but you can find ''cheaper'' if you rent in one of the commuter towns just around Dublin. If you drive/have a car it can be worth living slightly outside Dublin.
@frankierodriguez86619 ай бұрын
a 2 bed apartment in Dublin City center, no less than 2K if is in decent shape and not falling apart, bills not included. I lived there for 16 years and had to leave or most of my wages would go for a place which in most of the cases are shitholes rented by greedy bastards. AVOID!
