In the first store,That Gendronach 12 that is next to the Ardbeg for $86.00 sells in my area for $47.00- $55.00 in my area. I buy the Glendronach 12 all the time, one of my favorites. The pricing in that store is $10.00 to $30.00 more for the easier to get bottles. I don't mind paying a little bit more for a harder to get bottle, but that store's pricing is way high. Glad you found something to take home that's hard to get. In the second to last store, the Stranahan's bottles, that single barrel, barrel proof @ $52.00 a bottle, I would have bought every bottle they had. Hard to find in my area and goes for $70.00+. It is a wonderful single malt American Whiskey All of the Stranahan's bottles are great. You should try a bottle.

Do regular CO cigar shops have a high tax rate also? If so, where do you purchase your sticks?

It’s insane how built up Frisco and Silverthorn is now. Left CO in 09 for USMC. Traveled all along 70 in the mountains countless times and both places used to be just gas stations and snacks for skiers and campers/hikers. Love watching you guys for nostalgia. Hoping the military brings me home soon.

Nice tour! I really enjoy all my bottles of Mythology! I think I would have grabbed that Knob Creek pick even though I have four others on my shelf. They’re always good and usually different enough to keep buying:) Cheers!

You could just blend this at home lol. You can even play with the proportions of bourbon and rye to make it to your liking.

This girl is smart - and gorgeous with such a positive attitude - why is she edited out in the beginning? Does anyone want to see the guy with the beard talk about 9 yr olds? Throw him off the channel already. Sick of this guy interrupting - I bet he edited the video too. FIRED!

I really like and enjoy this new format. Myself as much as I love EC I don’t chase after all the ECBP’s as I’m the only person in my house that really enjoys bourbon. I have also been focusing more on the EC single barrel store picks in my area as all the ones I have tried so far have been a flavor beast.

It’s different. If you go into this bottle expecting that classic Buffalo trace bourbon you’re going to hate it. It’s minty and nothing quite like it. I’ve found I like Noah’s Mill slightly better.

One should have a short bus education to classify Evan Williams Bottled-in-Bond as bottom shelf bourbon... Many bourbons priced at about $45 for 750ml are either not of better quality or even far worse than Evan Williams BiB. We have a lot of overpriced and overhyped stuff on the market these days and a lot of consumers that judge by price only and believe everything they are told.

Serious question. I live in Kansas. Why do people come here to hunt liquor? Is it much cheaper? better? just wondering.

We usually just stop in on our way through because our family lives in Missouri. I also lived in Kansas for several years and I’m a Kstate grad. :) however, sometimes we can find stuff in Kansas that we can’t find in Colorado. Cheers!

That is exactly how I felt. I bought it as a gift for uncle cause it was new. We liked but not loved it. However it was good in an old fashion kind of the best of a bourbon and rye old fashioned but an higher then I would like price on a mixer

The toughest area is easily the $40 to $60 ... 1920 in north Georgia is over $60, so that's out. On balance, given how really good and consistent they are, I'd go with the average JD Single Barrel, which are usually also store picks.

I’ve been trying to figure out all the hate on this one. I revisited it after catching a lot of flack about saying I liked it. I really put some thought into it this time and I think it’s the little bit of barnyard funk as some people call it, but it’s like the rind on brie cheese, or the taste of blue cheese, mixed with pinenuts and a little oak. It’s definitely a savory whiskey versus a sweet one. It’s not my taste preference all the time but I don’t like blue cheese every day.

Best bottle I bought last year was a new riff single barrel bourbon store pick. Lots of deep dark rich flavors. Finished it off in 5 weeks which is lightning fast for me. Every time I reached, it was always the new riff. Got another one earlier this year. Still good, but no where near as amazing as the last one

I really can’t dispute any on your list up to a $100; above that is beyond my price point. My “daily” bourbon at $25 is Old Forester 100.
