When I try to use the adjustment color layer palette it changes the whole photo and puts color into the whole picture not just the light ray. How can I make it just put color into the light ray? I'm using CS6 in windows 10 on my pc. thanks for any help you can give me.

Best tutorial on you tube. Question though ... when yo do the sepia color in the light ray, I can't see what you do to make it happen. When I try it makes the whole photo sepia, not just the light ray. Getting frustrated. Can you help me with this one thing please?
