Is this possible with basic tools? I'm very interested in trying something like this but I do not own many of these tools.

For anyone coming to this two years out, it looks like tacprogear doesn't sell super reliably anymore. I've been looking at Razor Edge Group, who seem to sell similar projects. Also, great video, mate! This was a real help in knowing where to start

I know this video is over two years old at this point, but do you know where/how I can get that carrier vest? I managed to find it on the tacprogear website but they dont have an add to cart button that I saw, which makes getting one of these impossible otherwise. Do you have any suggestions as to where i might find one of these vests now?

You have to select both the size and the colour and then it will tell you it's sold out

Would you consider doing a video on the process for submitting to the 501st for approval and what you have to do when they send you changes that need to be made?...also...updated shoulders video?

Haha, for the yellow gloves I'm using an old pair of work gloves (the thumb seam blew out, so they're not fit for work anymore but can be repaired and worn for more dextrous tasks), and even after a wash they look FILTHY, so that's one less step for me...I won't have to weather them at all!

Don't know if you still use the cobbler machine, but I found the best way to mount it is to bolt it to a 4x4 block, then screw the block into a 1"x 8"x18" board. The board keeps it balanced and can be clamped to a table if necessary, while the 4x4 block gives you height. Works a treat and is super stable.

"I may fail." That is something that took me a while to get used to. I learned to have fun with my kit- if the colors/weathering/etc. didn't look good, I just stared over. I am sanding everything down to base for a reskin and am stoked to try the techniques in this video!

So I have the Mandalorian Death Watch helmet and I’ve gotten to the remove face plate part around 10:04. I took out all of the screws and it’s not budging. I think the part with the longer screw in the center above the visor, the band may or may not be glued in even with all of the screws taken out. I’m afraid of pulling it too hard it breaks. Any tips or tricks to help pull it off would be appreciated.

Good work, but haidate should overlap sort of like how fish or reptile scales do. It helps prevent a blade tip from finding a gap between two plates. Also, you can make them look better by rounding each plate instead of leaving them flat.
