Thank you for very detailed and beautiful pattern and easy to follow video tutorial. So how can we make the mittens double layered like just to hide the inside that shows the change of yarn in the pattern? Can we maybe need another simple mitten and connect the 2? The same way we can knitt a doeuble layer hat? Thanks 💕

Speaking as a restoration artist, its never about what something is "worth" its about preserving artifacts. Theyre part of us, the story of who we once were and who we are. That is what makes them valuable.

I just got one of these brass watercolor boxes! I love it and am curious if you have found anymore information on them? Company/person that made them? Year they were made? Mine came with some Windsor and Newton half pans in it but I don’t know if they were original or not. Also mine has a black paint over the entire brass. It’s chipping away in some places so I might just strip that paint off. A good friend told me that the water well has two hole because one is for pouring while the other acts as an open hole to allow flow better. I love this thing!

i bought these books from the richard schmid site in soft cover (just under $100 each) i bought them as a beginner because i heard so much great info was in it, i dont regret it as a beginner at all!!! i learned more from those books than years of classes. i also did one color chart a day for the colors i had for my classes....ill do them again with the brand i prefer.

When casting on, you mentioned the first cast with two loops was one stitch, but when you were dividing the stitches between the four needles, you said it was two. May I please get some clarification?
