What do you do with the old feed line? Do you just leave the end open?

So in a stock situation where the injectors don’t require that much fuel, how does the return trickle of fuel work? Where is all the extra unused fuel going? The pump supplies a large volume of fuel doesn’t it?

I’m finally getting around to installing my airdog on my 2nd gen BECAUSE my brake line that runs along fuel line rusted out, that being said that line looks crusty on that pretty truck . Also, wouldn’t it be beneficial to have the pump mounted as close to the tank as possible?

About to buy a 2006 2500 express van with the 6.6 Duramax. After much consideration I am leaning towards the AirDog over the FASS system. Cant give an exact reason though. Both seem to be good products.

Airdog: Tells you you can use the competition's filters. FASS: Tells you everyone elses product is inferior.

I put 100k miles on an old Airdog. I sold the truck but it's still running strong.

Customer Service is Top Notch. I received the DF-165 with the motor I bought from a good friend. I guess it was manufactured around 2008 and it ran on another truck previous to the owner I got it from. It had sat on shelves between owners and I installed it on my truck in 2013. In 2017 the pump motor failed and I was able to get a replacement at a reduced cost. The support tech pulled up the serial number and we confirmed the original owner (friend of mine too). I waited to install it back into the system having other issues to address but, it's back in now and the truck is much happier.

Installed mine yesterday, and it hums so loud. not sure what the heck is causing it. The connections are good and it's definitely pushing diesel, but its way louder than it should be. If I touch the hoses or the fuel tank, i can feel vibration.

Can you install a fuel gauge further up where the primer on the oem fuel filter is? Deleted the primer because it was leaking and the blocker plate comes with a pre drilled hole for a fuel pressure gauge. Will it give the same readings as if it was installed in the lift pump?

Where do I get the different springs for my different psi

I have a 2010 duramax LMM. I just installed the AirDog II 165 5G a week ago. I noticed that if I started the truck immediately after the glowplug light goes out, no problem. If I let the pump run 30 seconds or a minute [I did that checking for leaks] then start the truck, it cranked over for a few seconds before firing. It ran just fine though. Today I put a pressure gauge on the airdog and found it was set for 7 PSI. I turned it down to 5.5 PSI, took it for a drive and checked again engine running. Setting was stable at 6 PSI with truck idling. Starts and runs great.

Fass is a joke. They told me I needed to send them my entire pump for a refund since it can’t make more than 12psi. They didn’t refund me and just sent it back after they held onto it for almost two weeks. Horrible customer service. They’ve blocked me from contacting them. I wish I would of bought a Airdog, then I wouldn’t have to deal with the liars from the other company

Man I’ve watched this video like 5 times and still have questions. I’m installing a AirDog 5G 220gph on my 97 dodge ram 2500 12v Cummins with a dual sump from Ohio diesel. I’m running a block off plate on the mechanical lift pump port and deleted the stock fuel filter and removed the stock hard fuel lines. Curious what I do with the hard line where the overflow valve goes. I have a Tork Tek 70psi race overflow valve I’m installing to replace the adjustable one. Also do I need to use the filler neck adapter when using a sump? And should there be an oring or gas Teflon tape on the fitting that goes into the banjo fitting on the pump!

Canadian here. I wondered if it holding the water at the filter would plug up faster than normal because it’s not aloud to drain or settle down during the filtering process. Once the fuel freezes at the filter I’d assume it would just freeze the filter up and plug faster. Baldwin all the way.
