The word 'pastor' is in the Bible 7 times. One time in the New Testament and 6 in the Old Testament. And all 6 are in the book of Jeremiah. And 5 of those 6 are Woe ye pastors, Woe ye pastors......in other words, there are no pastors mentioned in the post biblical era. In the first 4 chapters of the book of Acts, there were no sermons. Matter of fact, Jesus nor any disciple preached 'sermons.' The 'sermon' on the mount was termed 'sermon' by publishing companies. In Matthew 24, Jesus was simply speaking to his followers while answering a question. No, no, no.....I, too am done with building worship. This U.S. Baptist Association methodology of get in, set down, shut up and hold on while staring at the back of someone else's head is over for me. The world is my pulpit. Besides, the one thing church leaders here agree upon is that 70% or more if church goers are lost. I heard it termed that one of the main functions of church today is to teach and train lost people how to act like a Christian. 80 years ago. A.W. Pink said instead of going into a building and congregating with a bunch of lost people, it's better to stay home and read your Bible. 1st John 2: 27

God knew you before there was a “before,” at a time when the Father loved the Son, also “before the foundation of the world” (John 17:24). You begin as part of a trinitarian plan, not yet as a created reality, but with the people whom the Father gave to the Son from out of a world he had not yet made (John 17:6).

First...the body of Christ is the Church... not the building. Second...most so called churches today are not of Christ, simply due to the nature of the 501c3 status... Third...church is BIG business in the good ole USA... Fourth, what this man speaks is the truth on how simple a gathering is required by the Lord God... May our Lord Jesus Christ bless your gathering and may all you do, do to the glory of God.

Thank God for the profound simplicity of His plan for the Church. By His grace, God called me some decades ago to birth the church I still serve in June 1979. God, in His marvelous forethought, has revealed the simplicity of His plan. His great mystery, very part, joined together to form one Body. We should never add to the Church that which is not fundamental and evident in God's Word while at the same time never demising it by even the most minor principle in the revelation of the Scriptures. Simple math, don't take away from God's pattern for the Body of Christ while at the same time not reducing the component parts to complete the whole. May our Great Father bless you with all spiritual blessings in Christ as you continue to follow the guidance of the Precious Holy Spirit. Blessings.

Behold the modern pharisee. Sitting by his campfire, mocking the one true gospel that Paul taught. This video makes me sad. Here is a young pastor who thinks that salvation is attained by works. Oh, he won't tell you that outright. But this idea is hidden in the Christianese he speaks. "Turn from your sins" is a big give away. He cites Paul's exhortation in Romans 6:1-2 where Paul says "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?" But Paul is not talking about earning salvation. He's talking about the life of a believer. An already saved person. It's apples and oranges. This preacher needs to read the whole chapter. In verse 14 Paul states plainly: "For sin shall not have dominion over you: for you are not under the law, but under grace.". Not under the law. This is the central theme of Paul's writings. We are saved by GOD'S work, not our own. This pastor is just like all the other mass-produced seminary pharisees. He thinks HE has risen to enlightenment. HE is the special one who has turned from his sins. He is telling you to be like HIM. Why? Because he is so special. Don't you wish you could be as strong of a Christian as he is? I condemn this Satanic teaching in the strongest terms. It is pervasive. It has infested the modern church like gangrene. Still, I am always stunned that a so-called preacher would sit and impugn the very gospel of Christ, he CLAIMS to represent. I hope and pray this man can see the truth. We are not saved by a prayer, or baptism, or "repentance", or piety, or anything else other than belief/trust in Jesus Christ our savior. Our acts of righteousness are as filthy rags to a Holy God. The grace he calls "cheap" was purchased by the blood of Jesus Christ. Not "cheap" at all. By the way, to repent means to change your mind. Not turn from your sins. Also, incidentally, the idea of "turning from your sins" for salvation is not found anywhere in the Christian Bible. Go see for yourself.

Did you watch the entire video? I think we are actually saying the same thing. When we reduce the Gospel down to a "get out of hell for free" card, we are preaching a false Gospel that is cheap. No forsaking your desires for His. No sacrificial life in Christ. No submitting to the Holy Spirit. No "not my will by yours be done". People who limit the Gospel to a one-time emotional experience are subjugating themselves in a "cheap grace". Salvation is in no respect cheap. But people twist it into cheap. The true Gospel is NOT cheap. Thanks for commenting!

Why is it that those that are the bread and butter (not the worst mind you) perpetrators of evil against children are bred in the sanctuary and buried in the church yards? The biggest red flag I get is "I'm a Christian" from someone that will end up lying and cheating me without hesitation, when given the opportunity. At 16 I almost got fired from my first job for believing a Christian. Christ followers demonstrated to me in my daily work (over 50 + years) that no god exists. By the words of Jesus himself there are no born again anything; it is a load of rubbish as Paul said. By their fruits we know their lives are a lie. Jesus was a failed prophet like every single prophet from every single religion has been every single time; 100% FAILURE RATE ! You have deceived yourself and others, BRAVO, BRAVO ! ! ! Now your nation dies a whimpering demise. Thanks pal, to all of you. May you receive your due in this life.

Sad to say I quit attending church and now I read pray worship and study at home. I have a small group of believers I fellowship with but that's it. The "church" today is nothing but programs and asking for money for those programs. Paul would write them a scathing letter. Following God and Jesus is what it's all about.

We have a small home fellowship that the Lord led my husband to start many years ago. We belonged to a church, and everything was great until my husband was nominated to the board, and then, for some unknown reason, they turned on him and made up a lie. Long story... One of the men told my husband to speak up for himself, but my husband said, "You started this." My husband said you speak up, but he wouldn't. So we were voted out of the church. We were farmers, and we had 5 beautiful young children. We were going through a very rough time on the farm, and then our young daughter was going through a series of tests on her kidneys. We wondered what was going on and what did we do wrong. We started visiting other churches, and it just felt like no one really cared if we were there. But over time, we met a couple that really wanted to start a home church. Many have come and gone. We sing and pray and have testimonies, and the Word is preached. It's a small gathering. We have dinner after. This is the work we've been called to. We know that not any church is perfect. You have to follow the Lord's leading and not do what everyone else thinks you should be doing. We all will one day stand before our Heavenly Father and give an account for the things we've done in His Name, or was it done for our name. May we all be obedient to whatever He has for each and every one of us. I pray for the ministers all around the world that God has called to preach the Truth of God's Word fear God and not man! May we all pray that.

Yes, and we can have all things in common. I have probably been to more churches than anyone else on the planet since covid. I wish I could stay on Titus's property and attend his church. My anxiety makes others uncomfortable which increases my anxiety. No need to be respecters of persons and somehow think that we aren't. " The only person not welcome in a church is someone who claims to be a Christian and denies known sin as sin. That person kick out because a little leaven can get into the entire loaf. And that is for that person's good, so they can come to their senses." ( John Mac Arthur ) I am sick of feeling like I need to prove my salvation to others that clearly would like to fault me, but technically have nothing on me. I'm 53, bipolar ,ssdi, housing choice voucher in commiefornia for the last 14 years. I have maintained progressive, liberal counseling the entire time with a counselor who mocks God to my face. I want to flee to Christian farm in a rural area and stay in a shed on their back 40 for the rest of my life in exchange for honest, hard farm work. They can nail my ear to their door. I hate sin and try my best to live pure for Jesus, however, Like Les Feldick said, " It's faith plus nothing." I pray that Lord Jesus will free me from pretension, rainbow flags, and 501cdom.

I totally agree with your belief on the church in Acts. I would like some advice on planting a church. I too have served as an associate and need to make the move to senior pastor/elder. I believe the church, God's people< need to be led, taught, and trained "in the way they should go". We need to get away from tradition and peoples desires and return to God's truths. Romans 12:2, Matthew 24:4.

God bless you brother. I love the concept but in reality it doesn’t work for all. Most melt in time because after all we are people. I’m pretty sure that’s why God’s word has so much to say about how to build a church establishment with positions of duties. That not to say that mega sized churches are the right or wrong way to do it. But if your growing, and you should be if you want to call yourself a church, your going to the guide lines that taught in the Bible. I see the importance of small groups here within a church.
