I got out of HS in 09' and if i had to give anyone some advice it would be "distance yourself a bit from social media" and "be wary of who you keep in contact with".

I feel like you were speaking to my SOUL! I've been freelancing for the past three years, but it's only this year I've started to implement some systems and be a lot more consistent. And when it comes to results it shows! I can relate to slackin off and having a jumbled routine so much. I also crave a lot of freedom and kept telling myself that " but waking up late is the point of being self employed!" Currently one of the things Im intentionally fixing, so that i have a better start to my day and sleep better lol. It's all taken a lot longer than i thought it would but at the same time I'm learning so much more than I thought on this freelance journey. Thank you so much for this video and sharing your advice 🫶

Right!? Having systems in place makes a world of a difference. And once you get that routine down, it’ll 10x what you’re doing. One day at a time! Best of luck on your journey 🌿

I just decided this week that I want to become a graphic designer. Turning 30 in June and I am determined!!! I have no experience AT ALL in this field and I've been having a mixture of emotions from anxiety to excitement to fear to joy 😂

I experienced something suuuuper similar, and the learnings are so so true. I've pivoted now to a different "niche" I guess you could say, and my first endeavor taught me so much. The challenges stay though, it's just a matter of consistently reminding myself that it really is not that deep and to just keep going.

This is very much true. Once I started with presentation decks even on discovery calls, as well as delivery with Loom walkthroughs, the clients feedback changed. With logos, I feel like showcasing them on different promotional materials really does give it a little bit of a kick. One of the best book I have also read about communicating the design choices is Aritucalting Design Decisions by Tom Greever, which was super helpful in my presenting skills as well as leading the meeting in the right direction. Thanks for this!
