It's an IKEA table top with Kallax units on the side. You can see more here in this clip: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n3bYdqBpqpqmZtEsi=YJV4hlrtcM5fhdW9&t=359.

Do you screw the bookcases to the wall? Or are they sturdy enough to not tip over?

I don't believe I did. They are pretty sturdy, especially since I have plenty of heavy items on the bottom.

I only have silica gel for drying flowers and want to make jar like this! How can i press flowers ?
@FirstDayofHome
@FirstDayofHome 14 сағат бұрын
Please see this video which has more information about pressing flowers: kzbin.info/www/bejne/on3KoZp6lN2NsLc. You can also press flowers other ways, which I wrote about here: www.firstdayofhome.com/how-to-press-flowers/. Silica gel won’t work well for this project because the flowers won’t be flat enough. I hope this helps!

Is the adjustable support lifting the nase of the rotary tool off the table?
@FirstDayofHome
@FirstDayofHome 5 күн бұрын
Yes, the adjustable support module sits on the same surface as the rotary tool. In my example, they both sit on the honeycomb panel (inside the riser base). If you're using wooden risers instead, you'll have the rotary and support module sitting on the base plate. I hope this answers your question.

@FirstDayofHome

I didn’t have to do anything because the pieces are embedded in the grout. You could probably sand the edges a bit if you find they are very sharp. Using gloves helps when you’re handling the pieces before applying grout. I hope this helps!

This is my first proper machine sewing project! Won’t would you recommend to prevent fraying on the sides of the bag proper if I don’t have bias tape? Should I just fold over and zigzag stitch each side of the bag before I sew them together, like you did on the sides of the small pocket?
@FirstDayofHome
@FirstDayofHome 24 күн бұрын
I’m excited for you to complete your first project! 🙌🏼 Yes, a zigzag stitch can help prevent fraying. I do that often when I’m joining two edges without bias tape. You can also use a product called Fray Check to help prevent fraying. Hello, your link for "paint pens" leads to clear vinyl. I do not find the "paint pens". I made faux stained glass for years in the U.S. I now live in Europe and want to start doing it again. Why? For what? You will literally ruin real dried flowers if you stick them to a tape. What? Ridiculous.
@FirstDayofHome
@FirstDayofHome Ай бұрын
I use them as stickers in a journal and stickers to give to others, as shown at the end of the video. I make so many pressed flowers, I use them for all sorts of purposes and don’t consider them “ruined” no matter what I do. Feel free to use them however you like if this doesn’t appeal to you.

Would it let you engrave on a paddle that does not need to be cut
@FirstDayofHome

You might find it helpful to read my full review here: www.firstdayofhome.com/xtool-m1-review/. It has other xTool comparisons that might help you decide which machine is right for you. @FirstDayofHome

The photo transfer will look a little rustic with this method because the ink is transferring. Some paper residue may make the image look a little pale, but you can also paint a top coat of regular Mod Podge to brighten the image and seal it.

I understand not using the same tubberware for silica gel and food but is that not a worry for recharging it in the oven that you also use for food?
@FirstDayofHome
@FirstDayofHome Ай бұрын
I don’t worry about it in the oven because it’s not touching anything that will later come into contact with food. I use foil pans to recharge in the oven, and I only use those with silica gel. That said, you should only do it if you’re comfortable with the product. I always follow the manufacturer directions. The reason I don’t use the plastic for food afterwards is because the plastic can absorb pesticides that might be in some flowers if you buy them in a store.
