Best comparison for these two models thus far. Appreciate it very much as I'm actually considering these two models at the moment.

How does this compare to an ec-1000? they look identical to me.

Your video helped me decide, and I just ordered a Harley Benton GS-Travel-E Mahogany for 159 euros at the Thomann website. I actually broke the neck of my expensive Takamine last week without knowing what happened. I wanted to get a Taylor GS Mini and watched many KZbin videos. If the two guitars do not make a significant difference according to your professional review, I do not see any bad reason not to get a HB. I can save 600 to 800 euros depending on which Taylor GS Mini model that I would buy. Thank you so much, Miike!

Man a set of african mahogany for acustic guitar ist like 20 bucks... a 1 piece neck maybe 50... I can't understand why harley benton always use shitty woods... maybe they should make a corksniffer Serie and end the competition...

Nice to have a review that shows how much you can get out of a single pedal. And thanks for not using distortion to demo!

With the voice switch up on the silver, it is the exact same circuit as the Golden. With the silver horse you are getting a golden horse plus an extra voicing. I use the silver with voice switch down going into a UAFX Lion that combination sounds killer to me

I swapped 700t for a jb in my SG. JB was definitely a bit clearer, but i put the 700t back in as the difference was surprisingly small -

This video helped me make my decision! After watching, I bought the HB for my first guitar. I had been thinking really hard about saving up for a GS Mini (never having seen any other budget close competitors for that model). I'll now be playing months sooner, and won't worry about my kids trying it out - in fact I hope they do.

Congrats, it's an awesome little guitar! PS: if you are interested in a great but bigger guitar that won't break the bank, definitely stay tuned! I am working on a big shootout between some acoustic guitars atm, at there will be one budget-friendly guitar there you might like! Thanks for watching and all the best for you and yours!

Each unit sounds better and better lol the RME is awesome have to say! Through some good monitors up loud enough to hear things each interface is based on price. The sound quality goes up with the price. Last time I watched this one I didn't hear a difference as much. I had to turn on the monitors to hear it best.

There's an obvious difference in the tone, the Ultra has a fat tone whereas player has a brighter sound, yet I'm not sure it worths for an extra 5000$.

Great review. I own a Taylor Mini GS, Maple, and a Taylor Mini GS Koa. I love their size, volume, and ease of play. I'm very impressed with your review of the Harley Benton. It's hard to justify the high cost of the Taylor. Again, great review.

Not sure if the Blackstar was the first one. My first amp was the Marshall MS-2, and as far as I remember, back then, about 30 years ago, there wasn't anything else like this on the market. But I agree with your ranking, the Blackstar sounds really awesome, unbelievable what comes out of this tiny plastic box! My son turns 6 soon and wants to learn playing electric guitar, so this review was very helpful! So unless I can still find my old MS-2, I'll get the Blackstar for him! A good or bad sound can really make or break your ambition to keep going when you're just starting out, I remember this very well! So a good amp sound is just as important as a guitar that's easy to play and stays in tune.

I think it's perfect as a "first amp" (but even really cool later on! 🙂)! All the best for you and your son mate!

DeepFreeze is almost the same as Superego “no plus” without the send return and smaller. I've had the SuperegoPlus for 8 years and I'll never sell it. It just needs a boost or compressor to keep the signal stable. I use the Suhr Koji Comp before it, and from it, I alternate some pedals on its send return (which will only work when you "on" the included fx pedal) and on the main out send the rest of the chain in stereo. Eternal drones!

Great comparison! I was wondering which Boss chorus to get, this was really helpful. Just a note, there are analog versions of the CH-1 and CE-5, I believe they were made before 2001. An easy way to tell if they are analog is that the label underneath is pink or green. Also there will be a FCC notice about a "Class B digital device" on the label with digital versions. Having said that, both versions do sound very similar, maybe the analog versions sound a bit crisper and warmer.

You mention wanting to get the Boss to "fade in" the effect over time. That's what envelopes are for. Does the boss not have any sort of attack/decay envelope like the EHX does?

just from these recordings I think Coil Tap (Right) sounded best. emphasises all the right frequencies, a strong mid-range. clarity sharp bite. bright great clean signal/tone and with further adjustments to the dials on an amp for the different genres it could completely wipe the floor with the others. it sounds the best out the box for working in and dialing out a tone for a mix.

When "my" Fender Twin's turn came around in this, I always winced. That distorted sound, LOL! Was it the only choice 18 years ago when I bought it? I hope so. It's NEVER sounded good.

One thing that the gs mini has over the benton is the bolt on neck which makes neck resets 10x easier.
