500 years-old is a large understatement. Shuai Jiao much, much, older than that. Possibly you should research it further.

This is Shuai Jiao (or chiao). It is approx 500 years old and is (supposed to be) the basis for all throwing arts. It is a really good art to learn and is currently taught to Chinese Police and Military! : )

Sure, the bigger they are, the harder they fall. Not like they they will able to balance their own weight plus another 200+ pounds of extra force while tripping.
