Probably a little late for this, but there's a control module behind the passenger side kick panel that may be your problem.
@moo.johnference869 Жыл бұрын
I believe you have a vacuum leak . This little leak will make the idle real annoying and will eventually cause OC failure and than a hole lot of shit starts to happen .
@raymondsimpson74335 жыл бұрын
Are you sure that has something to do with 4x4 mine is 2 wheel drive and has the same vacuum lines and mine are dry rotted but I don't have 4 wheel drive.

Plug it back in. If it comes off again change the vacuum line and plug it back in again. Your dash air direction control will lose it's mind with that unplugged.

@802Garage5 жыл бұрын
The Yukon and many later years use an electronic solenoid on the diff as well as the motorized transfer case actuator like these models. No vacuum actuator.
@mrbogus20426 жыл бұрын
My vacuum line right near that had broken half. Worked right away after fixing the break. Thank you for info.
@robertcromwell97366 жыл бұрын
That nipple that the hose rotted off of goes to a vacuum storage canister. Keeps 4wd going under high engine load conditions. There is an inline check valve to keep the vacuum canister charged. Also helps with the heater doors.
@x-man50565 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. Keep it plugged in. They don't run vacuum lines around for no reason. I'm not a big vacuum actuator fan, but you can't just leave it disconnected. having that particular line come lose gave me all kinds of issues with my dash air direction control.
@TheCgilbert99355 жыл бұрын
These guys are correct. Run the hose don't cap off

Lawrence Palmer Good to hear. Might be good to read the description for extra notes and some comments. Getting a new piece of line is the best way to fix it unless there's a problem with the canister.
@doobisbone7 жыл бұрын
On my 03 Sonoma ZR2, those 2 vacuum lines that run to & fro the T fitting, collapsed. I replaced one and capped off the other that runs to the canister, but ever since then, it has idled rough, almost like a misfire and it even kept stalling, yesterday. Could that be a result of the capped line??
@fnscomedycrew7 жыл бұрын
It's William I highly doubt that. If you haven't replaced the dist cap and rotor button I would do that. Check your plugs first. Could be a few things. Maybe you have other bad lines and a bad MAF also?
@doobisbone7 жыл бұрын
Flippusmn - I had installed a distributor just before this happened. It took a few to get it set right for the timing but after that, it ran strong and then I replaced that vacuum line and capped that one and it began to run like sh!t. MAF?
@fnscomedycrew7 жыл бұрын
It's William Mass air flow. I don't think capping that would do what you described ever. Complete loss of vacuum might but mine ran with disconnected lines. Your spider injector might be messed up but at 03 I doubt it. Another possibility could be your lower, maybe upper, intake manifold gaskets. Have you replaced those with felpro gaskets to prevent dexcool wear?

great video my man! noy alot of reference on here to that specific solenoid. however, on my 04 blazer, one of the two vacuum lines on that solenoid you picked up was cut right at the solenoid. if that makes sense. basically i have no idea where the other line goes to or how to find it. could anyone tell me where they both go to? i kno one goes to the right and links to the other peice that falls out of the wheel well but the other goes down where? thanks in advance.

@fnscomedycrew8 жыл бұрын
David Kirschbaum sure thing. Another guy commented and mentioned the vacuum canister. There is a nipple that connects to the fender where the original line used to go. If reconnection doesn't work a cap will get you by just fine ;)
@catman41158 жыл бұрын
That nipple connects to the main vacuum canister on the vehicle. It supplies pressure to the "T" you capped. Connect a replacement hose from the "T" to the nipple and it should fix the problem.
@fnscomedycrew8 жыл бұрын
Adam Catamero Funny story. I replaced the line to the nipple that leads to the canister and my 4x4 won't work. I see now that it's definitely supposed to go there but perhaps the canisters fail?
