@erobles396010 if you want comp spl go for large volume and high tuning around 36hz. I strongly prefer my 27hz box with this sub more than any other single sub/box combination period. It has the excursion to pull off some hefty lows and still gets decent readings on the highs.

@mike05937 power handling is a function of the enclosure, im guessing since your porting to 27 hz you want a larger than spec box to enhance the low end response, the larger the box, the better the low end response BUT the less the sub can handle in terms of wrms.. so with a big box, ported low your prolly not gonna hit 150, also 5000d is a lil over kill ESPECIALLY if your using a big box

imupabove it was 215amp bench tested. The largest they would build for me at the time in that tiny car. No drop.

Lol years later. No the other was a temp box and amp to get comp numbers. This one was better quality and played well on the low lows. Notice I even kerfed it. Fancy for trunk junk. I wasn't interested in literal numbers since I couldn't get 149.9 what's the point except what sounds best. This was perceivably louder since it was flatter down low.
