Original wording of Miss rule is actually very good " Best of the PLAYERS ABILITY, endevour to hit the ball ON". Sadly todays matches, any miss even off 29!!! cushions, the REF seems to call a automatic miss MAYBE to avoid Refs biased choice in calling it Subjectively. However if you watch 80's, 90's TOP matches, Davis, Hendry ect and earlier, just 2 cushions and close and the Ref will be happy with it AS THE RULE STATES best try/attempt and fairly calls no miss. Rule also states if impossible to get out of snooker eg reds have rolled and surround Cue ball and literally no exit. THEN the rules states you must hit TOWARDS the ball on eg black, brown ect. So it will be a foul and NO miss. As a Ref you have to be balanced and fair for spirit of the games rules and in fact if you put a player in a very difficult snooker, it may go against you as the player cant get to the red and and thus disturb them to be potted easier and Ref has to call no Miss if decent attempt made or a couple. REF also has to be sure the player isnt purposely missing just by a little if he is THAT GOOD, and thus BEST players ability part. So Ref has to quickly work out how good a player is. I was player and Ref and neither is easy when difficult situations happen.

It's not "Most Toughest". "Toughest" is all that is required. Or you could also say "Most tough", although, "Toughest" is far more commonly used. "Toughest" means most tough. So adding another "Most" in front is redundant.

I think what made it worse for Selt is that the fluke happened after Zizins foolishly attempted to make a ridiculously-hard pot that not even Ronnie or Judd would attempt! He was probably delighted to see he was going for the pot and assumed he would be back at the table after Zizins inevitably missed.
