She's giving a lesson on how to bring out and improve a Natural vibrato. Idk I’m a woman and I only really sing songs that are meant for men

I can’t tell if as a male singer I’m supposed to go an octave lower. I’m singing it the same as it is in the video and I can hit most of the notes, but it’s just a bit unclear if that’s what I’m supposed to do. It’s Also neglecting the lower part of my range. I do love getting those really high notes and I can actually do most of it pretty well considering my lack of formal training. Just not sure if I’m doing it right.

I went into a recording studio to record songs on a cd years ago. The guy there said I should try Opera? For some reason it offended me. Because i always though my voice was low.
