What type of foam do you use, because I’m getting into the building portion of aviation, but most foam just crumples when I try to cut it.

I’m using rediboard foam board. It is 3/16” foam with paper on each side. Check out the description for other info. Also check out Flite test on KZbin for some great info. Good luck!!

Check cg at 1/3 the Wing chord. Then also give the motor2-3 degrees of dowthrust and 1 degree of right thrust. This Is not a foamy and has High Wing loading, so It needs to be setup well. Your elevator has too Much authority, also use some exponential i 40% expo shoud do

Thanks for the advise. I think the motor angle could make a huge difference for a model this small. Have a great day!
@TonyMark-o3b3 ай бұрын
@@EricRobb yes also It needs more airspeed to fly well, and smooth inputs. Foamies are extremely lightweight so you can pretty much Land them in any way you want, these need to shed altitude slowly at a shallow angle with Wide turns with minimal elevator input.

Do you think the same applies to cell phone batteries? I’m a bit worried about setting it to 5A for a 1s 5000mah
@EricRobb3 ай бұрын
Phone batteries have battery management systems built in so it will not allow you to give it more power than it needs. Lipo batteries have no extra electronics, so you have to be smart with charging them.

Need one of those pattern paint roller loading tools, it's pretty much setup to automatically load your paper with glue. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fH2xqJp4jNuHba8 Another idea; Mount your roll of brown paper on a kitchen paper holder nearby, then feed it through the paint roller machine (link above) then it feed onto another kitchen paper roller dispenser to temporary hold swappable PVC tubes to conveniently continue rolling/swapping if making multiple tubes.
