Amazing video. ❤ great vibe. We visited „Newy“ for the first time in August and fell in love. Now it’s just a matter of getting our German/Australian family from Germany to Newcastle permanently. Until then I’ll be watching on repeat. Thanks for the great Video! ❤

We use to in the early 70,s go there and hang on to the chains in the big swells . An literally get washed to the other side if you let go . Cheap fun . Or Merewether baths behind the blocks numbered 1 to 10 .

Striking them well Scott - I played there a couple of years ago and know what a good score that is! James the host there is a great guy and he's really committed to getting the course condition up to scratch. Fabulously photogenic place! One of my favourite places to play.

I played here about 10 years ago, amazing experience. 2 fabulous courses both bucket list courses. First I’ve ever seen sprinkler motion sensors in bunkers due to the wind. Beautiful footage and a lovely reminder

I spent many hours in the Bogey Hole when I was a tyke. I still have fond memories of swimming at the Bogey Hole, Newcastle Beach and the salt water swimming pool which was a favoured destination for my school’s sports day. The school is no longer there but remember it all so well. Thank you for allowing me to take that journey back in time with your beautiful photography.

@@scottcampbellphotography No thank you. Many of us back then knew of the convict origin of the Bogey Hole and that made it even more special to swim in, quite apart from the occasional King Tide that swamped the hole.

Played it in the first week of Jan , this year. 2024 and hit 88 and was stoked. 10 over is terrific !!! Your short game in this video is so good. The bunkers down there are incredible. Greens large and i found tough to read. Great Video

Scott, Greg and I are going to KI in 10 days time. Remember us from last year? Serendipitous to meet at Essendon Fields and dinner at Cape Wickham was unforgettable. Like last year, we will revisit the conversation about what would make the best fictional composite course with holes chosen from Cape Wickham, Ocean Dunes, Barnbougle Run and Lost Farm. If we don't go too hard on the red wine, we may even record our thoughts and post the outcome for your consideration.

All these world class golf courses and no major tour...We need more events like LIV and DP World Tour. About time $ were found to attract the best players here. Good for golf and good for tourism. These courses are wasted and need to be introduced to the world.
