Personally it looks worse than the last model and the upgrades are very minor. The electronics are the same as the last model.

2021 Duke is really edgy and unforgiving, 2012 Version is way smoother and friendly, but still punchy, same with 2024 duke - way better to drive than 2021 version. P. S. The girl has a very cool accent, I really like, how she speaks

I recently got my '24 broken in and serviced. I really like it. The motor pulls quite well for what it is. The character is very much like a small version of the 690 engine, but without the tendency run hard into the rev limiter. Has strong engine braking. Sounds good too. Suspension works well for a bike in this price range. The handling is crazy nimble. Very nice dash. Foot pegs have good ground clearance and stock tires are a solid choice: stick pretty well leaned over, work pretty good in the rain. Brakes have good feel, though the front could be stronger if you ride the bike really hard.

What’s the model of tank bag?
@Duck95ish23 күн бұрын
a couple of things to note, after 15,000km on one in various conditions. I'll start with the nice things - I've never averaged less than 36km/l. Best efficiency I've gotten on a full tank was about 52km/l when really "grannying" the bike. The headlights, indicators, break lights and the high beams are great. seat is comfortable for short trips. Bike does handle very well on tarmac, I do agree its smooth and easy to ride - does lean very well. The speedometer display is great, during the day - with no way to turn it off or dim it, I've resorted to taping mine up with insulation tape so that I don't get flash-banged at night. The symmetrical braking system is my biggest gripe. Good luck trying to do any smooth braking. Its like for 3/4 of the rotation the brake is the strength you are trying to apply, then the other quarter suddenly bites way harder - all while keeping the same constant pressure on the lever. I understand that this is maybe done to make a safer braking experience for new riders, but this actually feels less safe than if each brake lever only controlled its respective brake system - either front exclusively, or rear exclusively. The gears have not gotten any less clunky, at first I thought I would just ignore it and maybe it will get better as the engine "breaks in", but it has not.

Thanks! No real issues at all and certainly not paperwork wise. There is some bureaucracy you have to deal with at borders but largely patience wins out and we haven't paid a single bribe through 20 African countries!

What a brilliant adventure as long as your not in a hurry which is what a true adventure should be all about, I owned 3 of these bikes in the early eighties mainly for commuting to work they are truly bulletproof little machines am now 67 and riding a tiger 900 but am sure I will end up going full circle and end up on one as my final bike 😉 good on you guys safe travels 👍

Cool interview guys, As a sidenote - the XL185S motor and derivatives like XR200R will fit into the older CG frames with only minor mods. The mounting point position on a lot of older Honda aircooled engines are the same for a bunch of different Honda bikes. That way you could upgrade to 200cc power and torque

this a genius, just used carburetor, and simple air cooled engine, honda clone all over the world, every street mechanice can help u and the part's not difficult to substitute i guess the 125cc can run 45-55 km/l? with 10l tanks its 450-550km range awesome
@ILikeMotorbikes19 күн бұрын
Not quite, with luggage and wind we are more like 25km/l and around a 300km range give or take

I've owned my Versys for a couple years now. My biggest complaints were the hard seat, which I fixed with a $20 Amazon gel butt pad, and the high revs and short gearing of the engine/gearbox, which I intend to someday fix with a 15=tooth front sprocket. It was my first bike when I started riding, and quickly outgrew it, buying a Suzuki V-Strom 800DE last summer, which I love. But I kept the Versys. It's still fun to ride, and my wife can ride it when she's not riding her Triumph Speedmaster.

Lekker review boys. Here i am doing research for my 1st adventure bike in Aus, and in the deep dark recesses i find a review that addresses exactly what my questions are. Sean may just have settled my current indecision between an Africa Twin and Transalp. I am going to arrange a few test rides and let you know. Love your work.
