What a brilliant adventure as long as your not in a hurry which is what a true adventure should be all about, I owned 3 of these bikes in the early eighties mainly for commuting to work they are truly bulletproof little machines am now 67 and riding a tiger 900 but am sure I will end up going full circle and end up on one as my final bike 😉 good on you guys safe travels 👍

this a genius, just used carburetor, and simple air cooled engine, honda clone all over the world, every street mechanice can help u and the part's not difficult to substitute i guess the 125cc can run 45-55 km/l? with 10l tanks its 450-550km range awesome
@ILikeMotorbikes2 ай бұрын
Not quite, with luggage and wind we are more like 25km/l and around a 300km range give or take

Cool interview guys, As a sidenote - the XL185S motor and derivatives like XR200R will fit into the older CG frames with only minor mods. The mounting point position on a lot of older Honda aircooled engines are the same for a bunch of different Honda bikes. That way you could upgrade to 200cc power and torque

interesting.... that's an idea for when our rebuilt engines need attention again!

Fab story. ❤ Congrats. Any issues taking bikes across borders paperwork etc?
@ILikeMotorbikes2 ай бұрын
Thanks! No real issues at all and certainly not paperwork wise. There is some bureaucracy you have to deal with at borders but largely patience wins out and we haven't paid a single bribe through 20 African countries!

The interviewer should keep quiet & let them talk. He kept interrupting them...

Sadly I find a lot of people behave like that,.... don't they know that we have 2 ears and 1 mouth for a reason!
