We have very similar taste. I love this record, these 2 songs especially. Also love Giant Sand, OP8, Lisa Germano, Calexico, Dave Schramm, esp Walk to Delphi and his work with Yo La Tengo, another incredible band. Glad to have found and subscribed to you.

Taped this off the radio. Learned to play it. Busked it on the London underground for ages. I probably owe them a thimbleful of beer at KZbin royalty rates. GREAT song. I need to relearn it. Really suits my voice.

I'm sitting here listening to my Walk to Delphi LP which I bought in 1992. It's an incredible collection of songs - great lyrics, outstanding musicianship. It's one of my favorite albums. Thanks, Dave.

This did something to me...I really felt something that I've never felt before and I'm a little freaked out by it. You can call me crazy if you want, but this is the honest truth. It was like, it was so beautiful that the hairs on my arms and neck stood on end, then I got this humming/vibrating sound/ feeling going on in my head and tears started welling up in my eyes. I was trying to shake it off, so at times I would look away and it would start to subside but it came back every time I saw the inside of the caves. It was a good feeling, even if it was really strange.

Ever notice they try to be johnny and june cash? (Looks and sound)Great song though. I love the reversed roles. The Hazelwood&Sinatra version sounds corny after hearing this one.
