While I believe much of social media and all sorts of pleasure seeking activities are addictive, I would say the root starts here, because the system makes people docile to the point where they have little free will over themselves, and while the internet gives free reign for discovery, the damage is done.

So are you saying that basically the only way to have true freedom is by being an entrepreneur
@calholli4 күн бұрын
Even that is a false belief. Entrepreneurs usually work longer hours and take much higher risks and fail much more often. The only true way to be free is to not need anything; and to take your money and make it work for itself and make you more money: investing

I really like this video a lot. My dad and I have always gone to arguments about this topic. Money is a fleeting thing and we can’t take it with us when we die. I mean, the Bible says money is the root of all kinds of evils (not the root of evil that’s a mistranslation). go out there and do what you want to do. Don’t let anyone else tell you what you can and cannot do. It’s on you and no one else.

The whole world is being lead by monopolies that in core don't care about employees, buyers, anything, it's just a business of abusing available "productivity" In addition to the whole bunch of thoughts we can also add something we cannot take control of, which also affects the mindset of each person in certain way, such as war in my case or anything like that, which is horrible Made me cry as usual, nice vid.

Having Aristotle for a teacher explains a lot about the persuasive and meaningful speeches Alexander would give to men before going to battle. Another influential aspect that Aristotle had over Alexander was having a passion for reading books. In spite of his personality, addictions and whatever vices Alexander may have had, it still doesn’t change the fact that he lived up to the meaning of his name: ‘The Great’. Alexander the Great conquered 22 million square miles-spanning from Egypt clear to the Indus River. That’s far more land he conquered and ruled than any other king, general or dictator in world history. And, he pulled it off in a single decade. Astounding!

I'm not afraid of boredom, I'm scared of being left alone with my own thoughts, i do not control them nor can i learn how to, and the only way to keep myself safe is by always being distracted, music has become an integral part of my general well-being, playing the classical guitar has become a therapeutic activity in which i never have to think or care about anything except the quality of the sounds i create, which is a state of mind that spans most of my day, the problem doesn't lie in excess stimulus, rather in unhealthy stimulus, find what's worthy of being done infinitely throughout your life and worship it.

Boredom is the gateway to creativity-a space where the mind wanders, questions, and discovers. As Nietzsche said, "He who has a why to live can bear almost any how." Embrace boredom; it's where our deepest "whys" reveal themselves and greatness begins.

My adopted dad was outcasted by people around him and labeled an impotent lonely dog by them because he was searching for a true friend. I don’t believe in friendship as a result because my dad has the best qualities of a true friend but everyone around him kept bringing him down for being different and thinking outside the boxes. I wouldn’t recommend being fooled by videos about friendship or love it’s all man made illusions to hide just how bad humans are and how worthless the species is
@M1ndful-Main3 күн бұрын
