Hi, your solution is pure genius…..I’ve been looking at the abba sky lift, but in ALL the vids I’ve seen, they all had the same concerns you raised, with peeps having to hold the bike, or have an assistant, etc, looked slightly dodgy for those of us that don’t man handle bikes all the time…..I have a R1250 GSA, and I know the sky lift can handle the weight, but like you, was nervous of trying to get it secured to the sky lift….Not now! I’ll be buying the Same chock as you did……thanks for taking the time to do the vid….it’s helped me a lot….Cheers mate, Andy..

How many links is the chain for classic 350 reborn?

I actually did fit the pair of them , left side was a bit of a nightmare as the plastic innerwork was obstructing the mounting bolt at the inside of the shock - had to remove a bit of plastic to get access to that bolt hole . The right hand side fits without any modifications (as shown in the video) . No big drama but still worth mentioning I reckon. Other than that, a big fan of SW-Motech for a long time, usually no issues with tolerance etc , stuff is well made - this is the only pannier system that is not fixed to the shocks themselves which is better IMO.

Hi Steve The Tiger 800 I had was the XRX model which is lower than the XC version in standard form. I lowered mine by using the Lust Racing 30mm links, this was just perfect for me. Check out the Lust Racing website, the 30mm or 40mm links which may suit your height. I’ve lowered my Tiger 900 GT Pro using the 30mm links. Hope this helps 👍😁

@@tigerness5555 It is an exceptional video. Hats off my good man. I bought my 350 as a means to get to work, from the south side of Dublin to the northside. A 25 min ride with no traffic. However, i have ended up clocking 12,000klm in 12 months going all over the country for a secondary job i have since taken on. I found the most infuriating thing was trying to get back to Dublin while attempting to maintain 110kph as its a comfortable speed. However, I have found on a number of occasions that i cant even keep it at 100kph. I am fairly handy, your video is fantastic so if this fix will breath new life into her I will absolutely do it. I will also buy a cheap tourer to share the load. Thanks again for the video. Its fantastic.

@@tigerness5555 Is there any chance I could send you vid of another problem I have of my chain jumping? Ive asked the garage I have bought the bike from to look at it but theyre not interested. Something tells me its not normal.
@tigerness5555
@tigerness5555 4 күн бұрын
If your chain is as you say jumping, this is what I would look for. 1 Does the chain need adjusting, is it too slack or too tight. Adjust as per user manual. 2 Does the chain have tight / stiff links. If so try cleaning / lubricating the chain. If this fails you need a new chain. 3 Are the sprockets (wheel and gearbox) worn or have hooked teeth. If so the sprockets require replacing. If a new chain is required then the sprockets are possibly also worn so it may be advisable to replace both of them as well. Hope this helps 👍

Thanks so much for doing this maintenance list. I just purchased a 2022 RE Classic 350 Red/Chrome. Love it. I generally do all my own maintenance on cars and bikes. It is a big part of the enjoyment I get from owning these lovely machines. I will be looking for a video regarding valve adjustments. I have done valve adjustments on car engines many times, I assume it is much the same on these bikes. But, it will be helpful to see you demonstrate it.

Hi Rob, Great to hear that you enjoyed my video and have found it helpful 👍😁 They are fantastic little bikes and ideal for DIY maintenance. I don’t have a video for doing the valve adjustment it they can be found on KZbin from others. It’s really very simple with only 2 valves, easy access and old fashioned screw and nut adjusters. From what you say, you won’t have any problems.

Hi. Congrats for your channel It has very good tutorials. Can i ask something. When you install an aftermarket exhaust and and air-filter you alter the way the bike breathes. Am I right? So consequently is there a need to do a fuel remap or chance the ECU? Or does the ECU auto adjusts to the new parameters so nothing needs to be done? Thanks in advance.
@tigerness5555
@tigerness5555 6 күн бұрын
You should do an ECU reset, see info below. No need for a remap or change of ECU. You could consider fitting a FuelX light but it’s debatable as to whether it actually makes any difference. Hope this helps 👍 The following information is from the workshop manual: The following procedure to be followed when if any change in the EMS sensors or fuel type Step 1 - Check for Engine Oil Temperature (EOT) at start is less than 40 ° C. Step 2 - Allow the engine to idle and leave it undisturbed till the Engine Oil Temperature reaches 115° C.(Time required for the EOT to reach 115°C will be 30 minutes approximately) Step 3 - Once Engine Oil Temperature reaches 115°C, turn "OFF" the ignition key and DO NOT turn it back ON for the next 30 seconds.

Great DIY, one question at what km on the odometer you do all this mods? I have decat pipe, DNA stage 2 and Powertronic V4, but only 50km in my classic 350 just have it for 4 days, Im thinking made all the mods arround 500km what do you think?
@tigerness5555
@tigerness5555 9 күн бұрын
If I was you I would wait until the bike is at the very least, fully run in. Get to know the bike, understand how well it performs in standard trim, only then will you know if any or all the modifications you make are worthwhile or not. I also assume that it’s a brand new bike and that the manufacturers warranty is important to you. Some changes may invalidate the warranty in some dealers eyes. I didn’t make any performance modifications to my bike until it had done around 4,000 miles. Hope this helps 👍

Hi FWM I hadn’t planned on doing a video on it, but may consider it now. Always difficult trying to think of something new to film during the winter months. Actually I’ve not used my Mavic Air Drone for a long time. For what I mostly film, it’s a a bit of a faff and takes quite a lot of time getting it setup and in the air. This is ok when I’m out on my own, but not very convenient when riding with others. Recently, all the flying video shots in my video’s have come from my new Hover Air X1 which for me is absolutely fantastic. It’s tiny, self contained and in the air recording in seconds. I notice that DJI now have a new Neo drone out which looks like a less expensive copy of the Hover. Great to hear that you enjoy my videos 👍

@tigerness5555 Thank for you're reply. I have only just started taking an interest in drones, so iam playing catch-up. Could you ever imagine this technology would be available to the masses just 15 years ago and at such an affordable price. It gives a completely different perspective on our surroundings and events, almost like a 4th dimension. I wonder how many people would love to give it a go but get overwhelmed by the choices. Thankfully there's lots of 2nd hand ones available so I can dip my toe in and give go without costing too much.👍

The bike I bought before the Tiger I ordered With the service manual, which was provided in printed form. To me, the "you're allowed to rent this technical information" feature of Triumph is abhorrent. Even with it they'll cancel their warranty unless services are performed by a "certified partner". Triumph tries to be as evil as Apple, and surely hostile to owners. It is perhaps softening the blow that you actually can access this stuff, but I really detest Triumph policy in this regards - I'll never buy a Triumph again because of this alone. Thank you for sharing this anyway.
