I marked my calendar for the exciting day one of your Canarya tour. I too am 71 and desperately feel the need to ride all my bikes as much as possible this year as time is running out for all of us. I enjoyed that road as a viewer. Scared the heck out of me.!! Having 3 of 5 bikes that are lower powered I agree that they would be the right choice over the higher hp bikes for the road you were on. As I'm in 20°F and snowy conditions in the States, it's a pleasure to be a video passenger on your trip. 👍👍

If it scared the heck out of you, just wait for the next episode, it’s even more scary 🤣 At our age I think we’re incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful hobby to enjoy. It’s made even better interacting with your mates going out for rides together. And KZbin has now added this incredible new dimension, being able to share adventures and interact with other like minded bikers from all over the world. It’s simply amazing. The weather here in Scotland is pretty grim at the moment so not getting out on my bikes. Lots of adventures planned for this year so hopefully many more videos to come. Ride safe and take care 🏍️😁👍

Happy new year Ian, the landscape is spectacular, and it just shows you don't have to go to the other side of the world to experience the joys of motorcycling in good weather and company. I know three guys that have had to stop riding in the last 6 months due to health conditions, after a life time of riding its hit them all very hard, one of them is like a lost soul, bikes were his life. Keep those wheels turning for as long as you can, and I am sure you will have lots of great adventures to come.👍

Hi FWM Happy new year to you as well. Great to hear that you enjoyed the video. Gran Canaria is simply fantastic for riding bikes, amazing roads, sunshine and no rain 🤣. I feel privileged to be able to be able to go out there and have such an amazing time riding the bikes. I’m like your friends, bikes are such a big part of my life, I don’t know what I would do if I was unable to ride or drive. It’s something I push to the back of my mind and I’ll worry about it if it ever happens. It’s also wonderful being able to share these adventures with enthusiasts like yourself here on KZbin. I would never in my wildest dreams have ever imagined I’d be making these videos and riding in such amazing places when I was younger. As you say “keep the wheels turning”. 😁👍

I don’t think there’s anywhere better to extend the biking season than Gran Canaria, it’s absolutely breathtaking. I’ll definitely be going back again, probably during next winter. The new cameras performed faultlessly, I’m incredibly impressed with them. The sound and video is now up there with the best of them, it does help having such stunning scenery to work with though 🤣 Some even better videos coming in this series, hope you also enjoy them. The Hunter or my Classic 350 would be fun to ride out there, but the videos don’t really show just how steep a lot of the climbs are. The 650 / 750 bikes they provide are just perfect for those roads, you should get yourself out there, you’ll love it 🏍️👍

I would love to here your thoughts on the bikes you have owned over a weekly chat with a coffee while reminiscing on your adventures and experience of each bike. Hi FWM An interesting idea, I’ll give it some thought. It’s difficult trying to make interesting videos in the winter months. I’m not as tough as I used to be when much younger and used my bike all year round no matter what the weather threw at me. Also hardly have any photos from the very early days, film and developing was expensive then, had to make a choice film or petrol 🤣

Hi Dave Great to hear that you enjoyed the video. The road conditions out there are truly amazing, absolutely perfect for the bikes. A lot of the mountain roads are used by professional cycling teams mainly because of the roads and weather. In the next video we go a bit quicker and get even closed to the rock faces, think you’ll enjoy it. Remember to put your helmet on for it 🤣👍

They have a range of bikes, but mainly Honda NC750 and Suzuki V Strom 650’s. Excellent choice of bikes for the type of roads encountered on the island of Gran Canaria. Hope you enjoyed the video 😁👍
